Nice hotel

A nice, clean hotel near the British Museum. There are numerous pubs nearby for a beer and a bite and you can walk, albeit about a half hour stroll, to Westminster Abbey, Parliament, Trafalger Square and many other attractions. The room was modern with good wifi and a clean, small bathroom. There is a nice little restaurant attached serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, or just cocktails. Friendly staff and reasonably priced.

The room was very small. The room was very old and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. My view was of a back alleyway where construction started at 8 am every morning which shook the hotel building. I would not book this hotel again.

Reception staff look down on you wearing casuals

Staff rude on entry, made me wait for 10 mins to check in due to audit at 02:30 in the morning. There's also a hotel across the road from Raddison Blu which is ALSO a Raddison Blu - the receptionist told me to walk 10 mins down the road to my hotel when it was across the road. They were not helpful and very dismissive. Questioning me on if I was actually staying at a Radisson Blu. I paid for the hotel with my card but the receptionist was under the impression someone else had pre-paid my room asking me for a pre-auth. I explained I don't need a pre-auth when I'm the one who paid for the room. Just because I'm not wearing swanky clothes doesn't mean your staff should doubt whether I'm staying at the hotel. Judgement at it's finest.

Good for theatre land

Lovely room but rather noisy during the night - so light sleepers (like us) should ask for a high room or one away from the road. Good hard bed and a great shower. Really good breakfast and a free drinks voucher for our stay too
