Stay at Best Western, Heathrow.

The foyer area was bright and airy, as was the adjacent restaurant. Both looked modern and clean. The reception staff were helpful, courteous and polite, as were the staff in the restaurant. However the carpets on the floor of my room looked tired. I would say the same about my room, which looked and felt like a hotel room from the 80’s. It was though clean and the bed was comfortable. I eat dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and thought the food was fairly good. The hotel is close to the airport and met my requirements, which was a comfortable and clean room for one night before flying the next day, and at a reasonable price. In this respect I would say the hotel was adequate. If the rooms were refurbished, it would make a big difference.

Missed breakfast as advised the hoppa bus was on the hour from the hotel nextdoor. So got to the hoppa for 0645hrs and advised it was not due until 0730hrs. Not a huge big deal but being hungry never brings out my best side. Staff were friendly and happy. That goes a long way.

I was extremely disappointed before I even reached my room. The hallway carpet on the floor which my room was on, was dirty and stained and the general painting (walls and doors) was in need of doing. The room was drab and not like that depicted on the website, as with the exterior of the building. When I arrived outside, I had to check several times to make sure I was at the correct place - very disappointed. The desk staff were polite but not very welcoming, almost to the point like it felt too much trouble for them, as was the morning staff when I enquired about the hotel bus hoppa - no one seemed to know much about it, most importantly where to catch it. I got that information from the hotel next door! The room was clean, but old hat and for the price I paid in NZ$, would have got a lot more here in NZ. I was also disappointed with the complimentary tea selection - breakfast tea only, all hotels/motels I have previously stayed in offer a selection. Sadly quite disappointing and won’t be recommending or returning.

A perfect airport hotel

A perfect airport hotel. I stay at dozens of hotels in London. This is in my top 3. Very convenient and you can even walk to Avis rental car. Staff are amazing. Will stay again

Overall experience was satisfactory, but left a bad taste, because of one incident that related to parking at the property. Although vehicle was registered, and paid for parking, kept on being charged parking violations!! Hotel was non responsive to resolve issue. Registered DISPUTE with credit card company!!

A really nice stay except for being woken up very early by housekeeping entering the room. Scared us both to death as we were still asleep and then couldn’t get back to sleep afterwards. Apart from that everything was good and the breakfast was superb, such choice! Perfect start to the day ahead

Poor maintenance

1 elevator was out of service, the other elevator made a grinding noise when the doors were opening and shutting. The shower was constantly leaking and finally gave up the ghost and ran full out soaking my wife. Got the night manager up and he managed to stop the full flow but there was a constant water flow all night. Carpets were stained all around hthe floor we were on
