"Good location, nice staff!"
PROS- Close to train / bus station and city center - less than 1 km. Staff was very nice, polite, and accomodating within their guidelines to follow. Our room window faced a passage that opened up to small patio, so it was very quiet. Room was clean with all white linens. Bed was comfy. Free Wi-Fi. CONS- Room is very small, about 2 ft space around the bed. We had ants in our room which we were told came from the garden and they did a treatment. No ice machine in the hotel. We were told that this is a 2 star hotel, so we could not even get a cup of hot water to make an instant coffee, in order to get one, we had to buy breakfast. They do offer breakfast, but for the price, is minimalistic.

"Great stay"
We had difficulty finding the hotel with our Garmin and iPhones but did so with the help of a local. Once we arrived the hosts Bruno and Karin were wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay special. The old chateau is lovely and the rural setting spectacular. My husband went swimming immediately on the very large outdoor pool. We slept with open windows listening to birds and host bells. Breakfast was great and Bruno gave us a trove of information for seeing the area. We would have missed some wonderful places. Only downside was the dining room closed Sunday when we were there, but our hosts made us a reservation at a very good restaurant in nearby Figeac. So we were able to see a little of that town. There should be directions on how to get there to anyone who books a room at the hotel. A wonderful stay.

"Long Weekend in Vieillevie"
Stayed just three nights to celebrate a close friend's special birthday. The staff were friendly but quiet and very trusting. On our first night we enjoyed a meal on the hotel's beautiful terrace which is completely covered by sweet smelling wisteria. The food and drink were great. The open air swimming pool surrounded by tropical plants and a spectacular back-drop was warm and inviting and our room (in the hotel itself, rather than in the annex) was airy and comfortable with a view of the stunning chateau across the road. The high point of the breakfast was the coffee. There was no welcoming chat/brief on arrival about hotel access - for late night returns or on days when the hotel was closed. We got caught out returning after a party, couldn't get in (mobile phone battery ran out ... typical) and we spent that night on a friend's sofa. There is key code access which we found out about on request - if in doubt, just hang on to your key :-)

"Going back in time...friendly but basic...French needed!"
I would say this area is one of the most beautiful I have visited. Empty roads, forested hills, deep gorges with clean flowing rivers packed with fish. Villages right out of the past often covered with beautiful blooms of flowers. At night the light comes from the moon and stars. People are so friendly and helpful from the hotel owners and staff to villagers met on our many trips. The hotel was very basic and had a family of cats and dogs that roamed freely. Language was a problem dispite the enthusiastic owners attemps to please. Basic breakfast but no evening meal available due to our late in the season booking which perhapse should have been made clear to us on booking. The hotel itself was no beauty and is very dated and in need of decoration. However it was kept clean and towels were changed every day by the smiling staff. Around the village is pure countryside with excellent roads some small and others quite wide but all mostly empty apart from the odd tractor. Wildlife abounds and is unspoilt and at times quite spectacular. The weather when we stayed, late August, was extremely hot and sunny often reaching the top 30s and even entering the 40s. If you want to get away from everything then this just might be the place for you.

Linac is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Linac, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Linac hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
