Beautiful, rustic and impeccably maintained. Grotto is very relaxing. Hotel accommodation was was relaxing, quiet and comfortable. Meals in the restaurant were very good. Access to beach for a walk was very handy. Overall great service and atmosphere.

Travelodge by Wyndham Nanaimo
Staff are very friendly and the location is great! Very walkable to the downtown core without the hotel being too expensive. Breakfast is mostly just muffins from Costco and fruit. There’s oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, tea and coffee, but don’t expect hot sausages, scrambled eggs or a waffle maker.

We had a room across from the ice machine and the elevator. I was concerned about that but the machine was quiet all night and so was the elevator. However I would still ask for another room our next stay there.
