"The owners were so nice and the room was beautiful"
I'm so glad we chose to spend 2 nights in Monemvasia at the beautiful Linkinia! Decor is very romantic and quite well done. By far one of the nicest hotels we've ever experienced and we have traveled quite a bit. Breakfast was delicious. Very quiet area...

The hotel is gorgeous! Awesome decoration and great hospitality! A place for romance! The breakfast was heavenly and the town is beautiful. My only observation was that the room needs more pillows because I usually have three or four around me, which is a bit of a problem outside of my house, but the owner was awesome and provided the extra pillows I asked.

"Great hotel and location"
We were warmly welcomed at the front desk and were happy to see the comfortable suite - great for our family of 5. The beach is steps away as are some supermarkets, bakery and the main sights of Monemvasia. This was an excellent choice!

Kastro Monemvasias, Monemvasia - Map
"Interesting Hotel in Unusual Location"
Staying at Monemvasia is a treat by itself - you are spending a night on the Rock with only one entrance/exit. New Malvasia Hotel is located all the way at the end of the town. You have to leave your car behind the gates and walk to the hotel (narrow cobblestone streets are not drivable). If you are staying just one night, i would recommend taking with you only a bag with the necessary things - dragging suitcases for half a mile will not be a fun thing to do. We visited in the beginning of October, had the best room with the best views in the hotel - spacious balcony gave you panoramic view of the sea, city wall (rear), roofs of the houses and some view of the closed Upper Town. The room was clean, had simple set up, yet very accomodating. There is a personal bathroom with the shower; small refrigerator in the room, large balcony, large bed. The hotel is split into several buildings each housing 3-4 rooms. At front desk there is a bar where you can get your drinks. Breakfast was included, selection was splendid. Coffee and juices available. The dining area is also designed for cozy evenings with the board games, projectors and screens on the walls. Overall appearance of the hotel and rooms give a great impression of medieval Greek house (combination of Santorini white houses, venetian house roofs, and 16th century stone buildings). The only thing we did not like - complete unfriendliness of kitchen personnel - no hello/good buy or even a gesture of attention.

"Nice, friendly hotel with EXCELLENT location"
Beautiful little village, wonderful little harbour, crystal clear water, local fishing boats bobbing in the water directly in front of the hotel, very friendly helpful staff, good food, great Greek coffee, good place to explore tip of the Mani peninsula. We came for 1 night, and stayed 3. This was best part of our exploration of the Peloponnese. Only need half an excuse to return.

"Lovely stay,"
Could not get over how many stores, hotels, and restaurants were in the castle. Also, so very much walking, but it was a lovely three days in the castle. .Was so glad we did not take much luggage and had rubber soled shoes, as there was a who lot of walking. The hotel had a great bed, we enjoyed the balcony so very much. Sitting there looking out to the Sea, what a fantastic view. I am a cat lover, so enjoy all the many cats, even feeding some. Kostas, the owner of the hotel, and Paniyota, were so very kind to us. Down the street from the hotel, close to the entrance, on the right, is a small lovely shop -- εδωδιμοπωλαίο -- Fotini is the owner. There you can check in to the hotel or call Kostas for assistance

"Great hotel, Close to everything, Great price"
Booked the night before looking for a good deal and found this little gem. We arrived a little later catching the bus from Sparta but the reception was cool about it. woke up each morning with a great view of Monemvasia and the sea. Close to all the little cafes and rentals. Super friendly staff made sure we were not without. Will definitely stay again!

Lakonia is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Lakonia, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Lakonia hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
