Really like that it was walking distances to just about everything. The place was clean, but alittle on the small side only one chair had to sit on bed most of the time. Staff was nice. Overall though i didn't like how small the place was i would use again as the place was clean and the location was just perfect. Do which the breakfast was more than just coffee and bars.

Howard Johnsons is in close proximity to Shepherds Park and the main street in Lake George Village. The pool looked inviting although, for me a bit too cool to go in. Only disappointment was only regular coffee in the lobby, because some people cant drink caffeine and there was no coffee pot or hair dryer in the room. Definitely would stay again.

Close to the center of activity in Lake George Village. Room was quite small but very adequate and comfortable. The only problem I experienced was the refrigerator was set in a tray that prevented opening unless you lifted the refrigerator a little bit. Otherwise the room and its amenities were perfect.

Great for walking to everything on center st, shopping, food, bars, boat's, beach etc..The room was clean the bed was comfortable. Buildings need work inside and out but would stay again.

Great deal for the price

It was fine. The room was small but well maintained, and the housekeeping staff was excellent. The location is perfect to take in the attractions on foot, but it's far enough away to be nice and quiet at night. Well worth the price.

The location is withing easy walking distance of the tourist traps and souvenir shops that line the main drag. Directly across from the driveway is the children's amusement park with bumper cars, a carousel, and other rides for the little ones. The motel is close enough to the lake that the boat whistles from the tourist cruise ships are not to be missed. But, I did not find the steps from the drive to the walk, then the steps up to the room comfortable. Not to be confused with stairs. I definitely would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues. The TV worked. I did not challenge the microwave or mini fridge. There are USB charging ports in the nightstand, although I had to use my phone's flashlight feature to find them. There was no extra safety hardware other than the basic door lock. And, no coffee maker.

We are very happy with this place. Been there many times. Except this time our a/c unit was very loud everytime it started up. We mentioned it but nothing could be done. So we had to deal with it. Especially at nite.

Staff was very friendly & attentive, the rooms were decent for the price, there were only minor things like no phone to call front desk & the pool being in an odd area of property with no means for shade if wanted (table umbrellas or such)
