We stayed at the Quileute Oceanside Resort in La Push during our ocean getaway, and overall, it was a great experience—though there were a few bumps at check-in. Our reservation confirmation (via Expedia) indicated that we had booked a cabin, complete with specific instructions about the upstairs beds not having sheets and that we'd have to pay $10 extra for the use of sheets, no in-unit shower, and the need for coins to use the shared shower facilities. Based on that, we packed extra bedding and supplies.
However, when we arrived, we were assigned a unit in one of the two-story buildings adjacent to the cabins. I double-checked with the front desk, and they explained that Expedia often sends out generic cabin instructions—even when the booking is for a different unit type. That was frustrating, especially since we went to the trouble of packing extra bedding unnecessarily.
That said, once we got settled, we were pleasantly surprised. Our unit was clean, comfortable, and best of all—had two fully made beds and a private shower. The location truly can’t be beat—just steps from the beach, with a beautiful deck that comfortably seats four. Our dogs were just as happy as we were to enjoy the ocean air and incredible views.
Despite the initial confusion, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely return. The beach at La Push is stunning, and the convenience and comfort of staying right on the shore make it worth it every time.
