"Excellent property"
We came here to celebrate a special occasion and we left incredibly happy. The property is gorgeous and fortunately for us we came at the end of peak season so it was not too crowded. It is at the west side of Oahu, so there isn't a lot outside the resorts in terms of food, but there's a market and and few restaurants across the street. We were able to find chairs at all the pool areas and beach. It is next to the Disney resort so at times there are younger kids and families around. Still we were able to find some quiet private areas to hang out. The adults only pool for example. Service at the beach and pool was excellent. They are always checking up and making sure you have all that you need. They even have free sun screen if you forget it. The rooms are beautiful with ample space. Especially the bathroom. Dual sinks, shower nice size soaking tub. We had an view of the ocean which was gorgeous during sunset. One minus was the housekeeping and turn down service. Some days were good and some days they either forgot and we had to call. It seems hit or miss, maybe the hotel can standardize the way they clean. A special shout out to the valets. It's 40/night but they take care of everything. On our way to the airport the valet noticed that one of our tires was flat. He changed it and even pumped up the spare with his own air compressor. Had he not done that we may have missed our flight having to go to a station to get air. We are already talking about coming back again.

"Nice hotel and great for families."
Please be warned, double check your room location before you go. I booked a "Penthouse Ocean View." When I walked into the room, all I saw were other hotels, foothills and grass. I thought there must have been a mistake. I went back to check in and told them that perhaps there had been a mix up because I had booked an ocean view. The lady at the front desk said to me in all seriousness, "That room is deeded an ocean view. If you lean over the balcony, you can see the water." No joke. We were on the 16th floor. I'm not going to lean over the balcony. To the hotel's credit, they did change our room to a "full on" ocean view. Bottom line, this is a nice hotel and great amenities. I don't think I would stay in the room were in again because it was a king bed, sofa bed and kitchenette. Our balcony was squeezed in along other much larger balconies. It's a nice place for families and there seems to be room for all at the beach and poolside. I thought it was much better than Aulani, which is two hotels down. If you've ever done Disney, you know the place is packed. I didn't feel that way here.

"Nice, but Kids Club was a Fail"
Have to get in line at 7:00 a.m. and wait an hour each day that you want to register your kids for activities at the kids club. Despite being a family resort, they are underprepared for families with children.

"A Great Disney Escape - A little expensive"
We really enjoyed our 2 days at the hotel - one of the highlights of our week long stay in Oahu. Staying in a one bedroom villa with 3 adults and 1 child, the room has a full kitchen and all the little details to make it a comfortable stay. Lots of pools and experiences to keep the kids busy as you want and we found it very relaxing upon arrival. To keep the costs down, would recommend taking advantage of the Costco/grocery stores 10 minutes away - as can prepare own food and take advantage of the BBQ area. Food on the resort is very pricey (paying for the 'Disney' experience - but there is a decent amount of variety available if going that route. We liked that it was a Disney hotel, but it was not 'in your face' Disney. i.e. The resort does an excellent job of showing the Polynesian Culture/theme with just little touches of Disney mixed in. If a sale comes up, we'd certainly consider coming back - 3 to 4 days is likely as much time as you need here and then can go enjoy other areas of Oahu or other Hawaiian Islands. Strongly recommend staying here - just be prepared to spend some money!

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kapolei hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
