"Perfect for an overnight stay heading south"
We stayed here last year. In the past year they have updated the reception and restaraunt. They look much better for it. They also have new coffee machines which are free to use for a number of hours during the day. The rooms are very comfortable. They are only let down with things like the light switch in the bathroom which was loose and came off the wall. The cleanliness is okay but we did find a dummy under the bed the following morning. The breakfast has also improved from last year. You can even make yourself a fresh pancake! The far better coffee was also welcome.

"Excellent hotel and location"
Well run smallish hotel (36 rooms) amongst the sites of Troyes. So often this type of hotel is "interesting" with faded facilities. However the De La Poste looks as if it has been recently renovated, everything worked, the heating/air con controls in the room were the most responsive I have ever seen. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was spot on and the option of parking (10 euros per night, needed to book) was very useful. Would definitely stay there again.

"One night stop over back from South of France"
Stayed on night on return from South of France. Hotel is in quiet area not too far from main autoroutes (but not so near you can see / hear traffic). Very clean, modern looking and feel. Room very comfortable - equivalent to UK Premier Inn standard. Some UK TV channels - BBC one and two, plus Cbeebies (better than usual BBC world offering elsewhere). Buffet breakfast was good (good coffee, juices, croissants, fruit, eggs). Overall very happy and would stay again. Excellent fish restaurant about 30 secs walk away (with kids menu). A nice end to a great holiday.

"Peaceful setting, great family room and dogs ok."
Stayed here to break up the journey from uk. Lovely surprise huge family room, indoor pool. Restaurant was fully booked so we had to eat in our room. Food was really nice but fairly pricey. Went for a walk with the dog around the beautiful golf course. A fab start to the holiday and worth the detour.

"Good quality for such a low price"
I only needed the hotel for a quick overnight stay. Parked my motorbike and was able to chain it and kept it safe and away from the main roads. I also arrived late and the late automated service worked really well. The room was clean and the bed comfy. Not very luxurious at all, but great for the price

"Reasonable stopover on the way down to the Alps"
We always stop near Troyes on our way down to the Alps as it is about 500 miles from our home which is as much as I can drive in a day & leaves about 350 miles for the following day meaning we can get to the ski resorts early in the afternoon & get into our accommodation/ buy lift passes etc. There are many of these type of Motels usually on the outskirts of town close to the motorway, this one was okay for the price & well located but I preferred The Golden Tulip in Troyes which we used last year.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
