A Timeless Retreat in the Heart of Jackson. I’ve been coming to the Eagle Mountain House for 30 years. My first visit was for my cousin’s wedding, and I remember being struck by the grandeur of this expansive, historic wooden hotel—and of course, the stunning mountain views that are just as breathtaking today. I keep coming back because Jackson is such a quaint and charming town, and the Eagle Mountain House never loses its magic. Sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair, taking in the view, I often glance at the railings and admire the craftsmanship and strength of this old-fashioned structure. You can feel the history in every detail—decades of guests who’ve made memories here. Inside, the hotel has seen some thoughtful updates, but I’m glad the original wood floors still creak in places. It’s not ultra-modern or luxurious, but it’s wonderful in its own, nostalgic way. The staff are friendly, local folks who genuinely seem to care about doing a good job. If you’re looking to be charmed by Jackson, New Hampshire, I highly recommend giving the Eagle Mountain House a try. It’s a place that stays with you.

We had our wedding at this historic inn. It’s such a beautiful place with such friendly staff that made everything perfect. I love the food in the restaurant. It’s very comfortable and clean. The lobby and public space and the veranda were perfect for our family and friends to socialize. We will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at this hotel and were pretty disappointed with the upkeep of the hotel, including our room "with a view". To start, the exterior of the hotel looks very run down with visible chipped paint everywhere, ugly AC units hanging out of windows, and doors that seem to be missing hinges so they slam loudly behind you. We reserved a room with a view and the view was obstructed by gaudy curtains and an ac unit that took up most of 1 of 2 small windows. Also, it's May in NH...why do we need an AC unit? There were extension chords all over the room precariously plugging things together. It was very difficult to sync the tv up with our apple phone, and the clicker barely worked. The bed sheets were stiff and uninviting, and the door creaked throughout the night. The hotel charges an “amenities” fee which apparently covers access to their game room (which you have to pay to use the games btw), access to a hiking trail, and maybe a few other things that we didn't use at all. A few pros- the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the surrounding area is beautiful, but overall the hotel needs a major upgrade.

This is an old, classic New England Inn, complete with giant porch with rocking chairs to take the gorgeous view. The room was very comfortable with an updated bathroom. The lobby had recently been redone. It looks great. The restaurant was a little expensive but very convenient and very friendly.

I was amazed At learning about the history of this hotel. There are so many antiques in this hotel. It's not modern or new, but it has a graceful elegance about this hotel. There's a wrap around porch you can sit and observe nature.
