I stayed for 2 nights in September 2025. What an amazing hotel. Every member of staff was extremely friendly, the breakfast was excellent. This was a modern hotel but with the character and charm of authentic Scotland.

Loved the history

Gorgeous hotel with laods of history including castle ruins on property. The loch walk was beautiful and peaceful and there are options for row boat rental or fishing if you are keen. Breakfast was ample and tasty however the evening meal we rated average to a little disappointing especially for the price. That being said food options in the area are limited so we will probably do the dinner again on our next stay.

A unique, high quality property, quiet and serene, the location is beautifully set in the mountains and lakes of the Highlands. In house fine dining, the food, presentation and service are very well done. A great base to explore the area or just relax and decompress in the natural beauty.

This is hotel is a hidden gem. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was excellent. The grounds were beautiful!

It is like taking a step back in time to a grander era. The first floor common rooms take you back. Your drinks served to you in the study, the grand dining room. Rooms are outdated and lack modern amenities. There is no elevator so we had to lug our large suitcases up to the 3rd floor. Dinner was very expensive with so- so food

This is quite simply a gorgeous place to stay. It is expensive but worth every penny. The location and grounds are excellent with walks to the loch side and castle just a few minutes from the main building. The room and facilities are exquisite. Access to the comfortable library and lounge gives a great place to relax and read or have a drink before or after dinner. A top stay! We had stayed here on our honeymoon 30 years previously and it still lived up to the expectations for our recent anniversary stay.

Like the location, about a little more than hour drive will reach most attractions in Highland. The property sits on 60 acres forest land and very quiet by the lake. Inside, you will have a proper Scottish castle vibes with formal breakfast and dinner served.
