Hurricane Vacation Packages

This was a very strange experience. No one answered the very strange door, so we went to the convenience store that was called Village Inn too. The lady called someone to unlock the door, but then we had a set of steep stairs to climb with our suitcases in hand. The room itself and the bath were clean, but the entrance and hallway smelled like smoke. The internet and TV were good though.

Very friendly and helpful staff, property is very dated and room smelt musty and damp.

Nothing wrong with an old building, but some maintenance is necessary.

The area was extremely quiet and made for a perfect relaxing weekend! The cabin was one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in and the screened in porch with the hot tub was amazing!

The first room we were put it ended up being infested with tiny ants all over our stuff and it rained and our window was leaking like a loud drippy faucet getting everything wet. Then the second room we get had no remote and the A.C leaking water all over the floor. They advertised a pool big reason we wanted this place and it’s apparently been under maintenance for months according to the 1 specific night clerk ( who was there a few nights of my stay) who barely looks at you is extremely unfriendly and literally spent more than 3/4 of her shift outside hugging some guy. She didn’t make coffee not once. They also say free hot breakfast. Well they had a sign posted ran out of sausage but we were the first ones there. The only hot food was scrambled eggs n some hashbrowns that’s it . Or cereal or muffin. Oh and the maids took my towels but didn’t give me knew ones and I couldn’t get them from the front desk clerk because she was outside hiding somewhere. I will say the G.M. was an extremely friendly caring person. She was not there when I told the front desk my issues unfortunately. They just said that a bunch of construction guys were staying on the same floor so they must have brought the ants. I got no apologies I got no discount nothing and I’m spending about 2 weeks at this place. You think they would act like they cared. The whole place smells musty , the rooms leak smell moldy and they do not have a pool in use. For a bill a night you should get better that’s all.

I had a bit of an issue on check-in, however, the staff resolved it quickly. It seemed that my first room, while very nice, and clean, had a door that would not open easily from either side. To the room and open the door and everything was fine. He remarked that he would be getting a hold of maintenance very soon to get the other rooms doors repaired.
