This place was absolutely gorgeous, comfortable, and cool. The rooms were clean, and well-stocked. Most comfortable bed ever! The grounds are very well maintained and the views are incredible.

The breakfast was good. They had eggs, sausage, green chili, a good assortment of cereal and you could make your own waffles. They also had bagels and toast. If you would like it, the room was clean. I love having the laminate floors. It makes it so much nicer and cleaner. The staff was great helpful if you need them

Quiet and clean. Close to downtown. Irene, the assistant manager was extremely helpful getting us checked in.

Beautiful 1930 hotel with original antiques in the main area of the hotel. Due to the age there is only a portable air conditioner for each room that struggles to keep the room cool. The bathroom sink is a complete joke. Way too small to use. The owner/manager is very very nice during your stay until it’s time to check out. She wants you out before 11am. We were loading the car with our bags and she was cleaning the room when we walked back in. This was before 11am. She became rude and told us we needed to leave even though it was before check out time. She said herself and her husband has to clean the rooms as soon as they can get in. If it wasn’t for that it would have been a very pleasant stay.

We arrived after the office closed at 8pm but they had a key waiting for us and had the room nice and cool which was appreciated after a long hot day! My kids loved the resident cats and I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds. The rooms were big and clean with comfy beds. We had a sliding glass door to a little patio with partitions for privacy. We could see the dunes and mountains from our room! It was nice being so close to the park and not too far from Zapata falls either!

This property should not be used until it has updates. The electrical system is very old, plugs won’t stay in, you have to unplug items to not trip a circuit and I felt unsafe. The heating wall gas heating unit did not function and I was very happy to see CO monitors in place. This unit looked like it was from the 40’s. The paint is chipped, there are large chunks of wood missing and an all of the faucets dripped water. This was not the unit I chose at booking but was given to us due to repairs on the original unit. The office, staff and restaurant were outstanding.
