Needed to change rooms

Upon arriving to check in, we were offered choice of two rooms 1st floor pool view, or 2nd floor forest view. We chose 2nd floor. Upon arriving there with luggage, we did not like the noisy beverage machine, as well as the elevator directly across and next door to our room. We asked for another room and were told nothing was ready yet at 3:30 pm and they were almost completely full. We waited for about 15 minutes and one room on 2nd floor of a different building became available, but we had to move our luggage from first building to the new building. We were thankful we were able to move, however it seemed like it was much trouble for the front desk to make the change!

Price for the stay. Super clean and rooms were spacious but bathroom is a bit on the small side. The staff wasn’t friendly at check in and the gym needs major upgrades. The gym was extremely hot, the treadmill didn’t incline, there were no free weights, and the weight machine was broken and rigged up for guests to use which is unsafe.

Anniversary getaway

We only stayed in the room one night! I wished we had booked our 3 days here. The room was very nice! Extremely spacious for just the two of us. Very clean, modern room. Bathrooms were very clean. Comfortable bed. Very quiet! Plenty of parking spaces. My only dissatisfaction was the breakfast choices.

The only negative thing I can think of is that I could not find and hot water, tea bags, or packets of hot chocolate in the breakfast room. Otherwise, wed rate it a ten.

Place was clean but showing some age. Staff was friendly and helpful. Biggest negative was loft door didn’t completely seal and after a heavy rain small bugs crawled in. Took a day for this to be addressed.

We heard dogs barking. Guests were able to bring their pets. Before we checked out, a staff member came into our room presumably to begin cleaning it...we walked in on her...she apologized profusely but it was weird to experience this.

Perfect spot for our mini trip to Hilton Head. Conveniently located close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Parking was plentiful and we felt very safe.

An okay hotel, but it needs help

The Palmera Inn & Suites was okay. It was not super close to the beach. About a 10 minute drive to free beach parking. This hotel needs some updates. The door to the second floor stairs wouldn't even close completely. It was supposed to be accessed by key card only. If you like a really firm mattress, then you're in luck. If not, like my family, the bed is extremely uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. The A/C unit was pretty loud when it kicked in, however, it wasn't nearly as loud as the bathroom exhaust fan. I was glad that I got a decent price. I would not recommend this hotel and I would never stay there again.

Front desk team can be replaced with robots😊

Front desk team did not show a welcome body language. Very mechanical transaction. Thumbs down. We were given a room which had a broken exhaust light. Then we have to shift to a different room. Very bad. The other room had a bar door to bathroom not closing properly. Got it fixed. It’s a OK place to stay.

Loved our room. Only thing I didn’t love was service at the front desk. Checked in very late but had no directions for how to access our room. One elevator nearest the door did not work. Had to go to the other end of hall and take a second elevator. Needed a map and directions to get to room. Not sure if elevator is always down or just happened not to work that night.
