Trash outside my door for over 24 hours and was not from my room. Towels and robes outside my door that were not mine

Be careful with this lodge. Half of the rooms (backside) have no view. Just a view of a wall, posts and rocks, underneath a structure behind the main lodge. They charge resort fees and the pool, sauna and bbq pit area are all closed and under construction. Something that was not noted on the Expedia website prior to booking a nonrefundable room. When we were checking out on a Sunday morning, a work crew was in the halls (3 floors) ripping up carpet, starting at 8:00am. It was extremely noisy. They were also using the luggage carts that are reserved for guests to haul dirty, old carpet to the garage. There is 1 elevator in the entire lodge and the work crew was using it, forcing guests to carry their luggage down a very narrow staircase. The parking garage is located in the basement and it smells like trash and has water leaking. It was a gross area. I spoke with the manager about these issues and he didn't really care. He defended the lodge charging resort fees, even though the main amenities were not available. He said guests are notified after booking the room and reminded again when checking in. He didn't seem to understand that information needs to be posted PRIOR to booking a nonrefundable room. I asked for a refund of resort fees and he refused. Told me to contact Expedia if I want a refund. There are a few positives. The room was huge and beds were comfortable. The location is really good. They have a continental breakfast that is good. I wouldn't stay here again.
