Nice place to stay while in Alice Springs. Within walking distance to town center. My room was a bit dated but clean and roomy. There were a few lights not working outside my room so when returning at night, it was very dark making it difficult to find my key in my bag and get in my room. Also, the door stop on the door was broken, as if someone pushed the door open when it was engaged? Otherwise, the staff at the front desk were nice, the restaurant on site has very good food. I'd stay there again.

After initial trouble booking in despite reservation, all went well Ayers Rock and The Olgas were terrific. We found that the best (and most economical) place to eat and drink was the Outback Pioneer, also much better atmosphere.

Level of cleaning in the room was poor when we arrived. The second day they came and made the bed but didn't vacuum or offer us clean glasses or mugs. Stains on the countertops were left. The pool was very disappointing. It was tiny, very cold and even though technically outdoors was in shadow almost all day. Only two pool loungers, one badly broken. The location is great however but don't spend extra on a room with a view as the trees block out most of it.

This was a wonderful find in a quite but central part of downtown Darwin, within easy walking distance to most thing including Mindel Beach, the Botanic Gardens, CBD, the fun and active Mitchell Street, Stokes Wharf, the Harbourfront and access to the buses for other further away place such as CDU. The Staff were very nice, helpful and always pleasant. I liked that the cleaning staff got Sundays off so there was no cleaning. Rooms were tidied and but only thoroughly cleaned about every 4 days which is fine as I was there for nearly three weeks but I would have liked the floor to be swept or at least a broom included; but that is minor. The continental breakfast was limited but fine, the gym and pool small but fine for a quick workout or a cooling dip and the outdoor deck was quite nice.

Check-in and check-out were very quick and easy, however staff presentation was ordinary. Room was good, had everything I needed and was very clean, hiwever the air-conditioner struggled to keep up on the hot days (37+) and the bathroom tap was continually dripping. Also whwn people were smoking on the verandah outside, smoke could be smelt strongly in the room.
Overall pretty good though and the lication was fantastic in the centre if town and with plenty of car parking. Would certainly stay there again when travelling alone or with a mate, but maybe not quite as highly recommended for a romantic couple.
