Fantastic hotel with great facilities. Very clean, quality service and attentive staff. Only downsides were the early roof bar closing time of 23:15 and late gym opening time of 9am.

Just falling short of ‘luxury’

This is a really nice hotel. It’s in a great location in the Old Town - a totally chaotic location, but in all the right ways. Unfortunately we were disappointed with our Luxury Suite. It was on one of the first floors and looked out onto a concrete wall. There is no way this can be considered luxury. The room was therefore very dark and extremely hard to adjust to the time zone when you’re fighting jet lag. I believe this suite should be cheaper than the wall-free suites on the higher floors. Due to this, we can possibly give the hotel full marks or recommend the room we had, The hotel as a whole though is lovely. The staff is very attentive and it’s in a great location.

Awesome stay here. Room was very clean and beds super comfy! Roof top bar and pool were incredible! Staff were super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious with so many options to choose from. We had a tour booked for early one morning before breakfast opened and they packed us our breakfast in a lunch box and made us a coffee for to take which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend! One small note - the bathroom didn’t have a fan so it got very steamy. Would definitely stay again. Great location!

Beautiful hotel and friendly, efficient staff. Fabulous location, just set back from the street, amazing breakfast and spotlessly clean. We’d stay here again. There’s some building work around the hotel which finishes around 8/8.30pm but it didn’t disturb us - you’re in the centre of a very busy city so to be expected.

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel and the incredible team that works there. Our time in Hanoi was amazing, but staying here made the trip even more special. We had an absolute incredible time. The property was gorgeous. The service was top-notch. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in all areas. Excellent hotel in a central location close to all the tourist attractions. While the hotel is in the busy old quarter the hotel is set back from the road providing a quiet oasis. During the day you can hear scooters honking but at night it quiets down. Breakfast was a very large buffet with western and Asian selections with freshly cooked eggs. We had dinner one night in the basement restaurant and it was excellent. The flaming prawns were amazing!

We had a good stay at the Peridot Grand. The staff were very helpful and friendly, everyone spoke good English where it was difficult in some other hotels we stayed in Vietnam. The room was nice but a few problems, the view from one of the windows was a brick wall about 0.5m from the window. The balcony again was not nice, a view of the rubbish and discarded waste. The bathroom was open plan next to the bedroom so if you used it during the nice it was like putting a spotlight on in the room. Other than that it has a great central location in the old quarter and the roof top bar was vibrant and fun.
