I stayed residence club room for 2 nights. Pretty calm environment and nicely clean room. Staff is well-trained, friendly and helpful. I wished I could change air-condition temperature setting, It seemed pre-fixed though. Regards to lobby area, It might be a bit noisy in some cases. It was great stay so far.

Stayed at hotel majestic for four nights. Stay was ok though you can feel that the hotel is a bit run down. Needs an upgrade in facilities. During the last two nights of my stay started hearing singing from my room at the fourth floor. The fifth floor has an events area and bar so the sound proofing could have been better.

First things first, there are probably better value hotels in Hanoi, where you will get much better rooms for lower price, but this hotel has history, character and class. Loved it. Stayed in the old wing and it was amazing. Staff were great, the breakfast spread was lovely and it was so nice having the swimming pool. Don't miss out on the complimentary bunker tour.

My wife and myself had two stays in the past week broken by a visit to Holong Bay. The hotel staff were very helpful in all ways, nothing was too much trouble. The taxis that bear the Nikko name were always on hand and good operators (cheap to get around). The bar had a fantastic happy hour being good nibbles and great value. We were always being helped by the concierge operators when coming and going and always translated for us to the taxi drivers. One of my best hotels.

This hotel would have to be the closest to perfection.
Two things however. Firstly there was a bit a construction and maintenance that was going on that we were not aware of when we booked.
Secondly, as comfortably and beautiful as our room was there was no proper chair in the room to sit on. Plenty of divan type lounge but a bit hard on the back after a while.
But we would definately recommend this hotel and stay there again.
