The San Grand Hotel is located in a perfect location in the Old Quarter, close to dining, shopping, bars and tons of street food! The hotel is very welcoming and a quiet oasis after the busy streets of Hanoi. The staff are extremely helpful and a special shout-out to Ruby and her team for being so kind and helpful with everything from booking our HaLong Bay trip, airport taxi, visas and actually walking to show us the nearest atm machine:) The hotel has a fabulous buffet breakfast along with an afternoon tea all included in your room rate. The rooftop bar is a great place to unwind during happy hour to take in the beautiful view over the lake. We had a balcony room, which offered a great view while taking in the sights and sounds of the city. It was a beautiful room, but didn’t have a shower, only a bathtub. All other room types had a shower though:) We would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Thanks everyone!!

Enjoyed San Grand Hotel so much first time we returned for second stay. Managers and staff are wonderful and welcoming people(Especially Susan at rooftop restaurant and Kylie. Great job guys!). This property screamed old world elegance and charm. The décor was very old Hollywood glamor. It had a classy mess about it. It just made you feel rich. The people were warm. The rooftop bar provided a ridiculously beautiful view, and the beds were super comfortable.

I was a salesman for 35 years and stayed in many hotels. I rate this hotel as one of best I have stayed in. The staff were amazing. I had a disagreement with a cab driver and Mike solved it quickly and scolded the driver for try to take advantage of me. I was so grateful. Emma, helped me with directions to the museum and was so kind. I can’t say enough good about the San Grande Hotel.

Fantastic hotel

Honestly an amazing place to stay. All the staff make you feel welcome from the time we arrived until they put us in the car to leave for the airport. About the room. Ok it is not huge but had a very comfortable bed and the shower pressure was awesome. Breakfast was really nice and had a lovely view of the lake. About the location. Close to the lake, beer lane and more food options than you could ever need. I was really impressed with this place and highly recommend.

Great central location

What a wonderful hotel in a great location. The check in was very detailed and covered everything we needed to know. Room was nice, comfortable bed and pillows, good shower pressure. Breakfast was lovely and all the staff bend over backwards to be helpful. Located close walking distance to the lake, beer lane and multiple restaurants. All in all great place to stay.
