Overnight get away

No issues until we were leaving. Had a shower in the am. Went out for breakfast. Came back to checkout and there was about three inches of water in the bathtub with gobs of black balls and sediment. Reported it to the cleaning staff and front desk. Hoping it was addressed.

I paid $300 a night to stay here. When I spend that much money I expect daily cleaning. They only offered cleaning every 3 days. The renovations were extremely old, including a very dirty room carpet. The pool was extremely cold and dirty and even had a door tag in it. As for service, their cleaning staff were great but clearly shorthanded. Yet for some reason the front desk constantly had 6 people literally standing around and talking all the time. I had to ask three times to get a rollaway bed to put my toddler to bed. The area, while close to popular tourist destinations, is a bit of a dump. I do not reccomend staying here.

Room was not ready despite trying to check in 1 1/2 hours after guaranteed check in time of 3:30. Complained to no avail. They told us the room should be ready in an hour or so… this would be well after 5:30 pm. You pay $250/night for a room and you expect to have the use of the room at least for the time paid for. This completely impacted our plans of relaxing for a few minutes before heading to a concert with family. Aside from these issues the hotel is dated, in poor repair, not very clean, and in an inconvenient location for parking and walking to nearby attractions. If you book through a third party like Expedia, expect to be stuck in the oldest, most worn and dated room. Bottom line, save your money and sleep in your car if you have to vs paying for this place.

Nice little spot. Parking for oversized vehicles is very close by and affordable. Our room was ready when we arrived. Clean and spacious. We will be back.

Like that it is next to the board walk. Our air conditioning system didn’t work was block with dust and dirt we ask 2 times to have it clean and the staff didn’t relay the message to the Maintenance personnel. It was hot and hard to breathe in the room windows doesn’t open either. Plus furniture’s w full of dust even the frame on the wall was all filthy. Don’t go there we certainly won’t go. Yurk!!!

This place was supposed to have free parking and it doesn’t! Toilets are horrible with these brown stain dripping down. This place needs a serious upgrade. You have to park across the street in the middle of the block and then catch an elevator walk through what is like a maze. Drag your suitcases down a non working escalators! This place isn’t worth the stay!!!

This property was priced similarly to 4-star hotels, however it would be 3 at best. The property was fine, but small. The bathroom could have used more towel racks or hooks to assist in drying towels and swimsuits. The water pressure was decent and it heated nicely. The rooms were small and a tight fit for a family of four. It is a hotel that could update itself and become current and install some green practices. As it stands right now, it is underwhelming and nothing special.

Pool was in pretty bad shape. Looked cloudy and dirty. We expressed concern to staff but didn’t get any real answers. We were there for 4 days with 3 kids and booked this place for the pool but couldn’t take them swimming in it.

Clean up this hotel or charge less!

First night, we arrived 11 am, waited until 3:15 for our room, customer service terrible, went to our room, it was terrible, very, very dirty, complained & put us into another room, which was ok. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, we asked to fix TV about five times, we stayed there nine days, went swimming couldn't stay in there too cold, this hotel needs a really big make over, furniture looks like something should be thrown out, not very good customer service, food in restaurant is discussing, our room was cleaned once in 9 days.The only good thing about this hotel is in the heart of Halifax!
