From good to great!

The room was lovely, spacious and quiet. Hotel location was a nice change from downtown. But the restaurant was exceptionally great! I didn't have high expectations for dinner at a hotel restaurant but both our pan-fried haddock and salmon were absolutely delicious, plentiful and beautifully prepared. Breakfast in the morning, though somewhat similar to typical hotel breakfasts, was elevated with superior choices and expert preparation, making it much better than the norm. Finally, the coffee machine in the lobby was wonderful. (Did I just write that?) I can't believe that I could have my morning cortado from a machine and it tasted great. Bravo!

Bed was not great for sleeping. Front desk staff was not friand welcoming. Check in had not explanation of anything and not even mention of the availability of coffee 25 hours. Just a refular hotel with sad staff and service.

The room was so dirty with splashes of juice all over the walls. This is stuff that can be fixed to ensure a good quality stay. I paid 300 for a very dirty room. The bed was comfortable and seemed to be clean in and around the bed area. Noise was a bit much but we knew a hockey tournament was in house. The free breakfast was empty of hot items and no one around to help. So much area for improvement especially with a property with so much potential
