"Reasonable"
Potentially very good hotel in the old tradition. Good location and price reasonable. Our room was spacious with a nice bathroom and facilities (e.g. good wardrobe); however, being on the fourth floor (just under the roof) it was extremely hot and had no air conditioning (nor had any of the public areas and corridors - so probably the whole building has none). Our room was also dusty.

"Nice hotel facing the beach front"
Stayed overnight for a family visit. Reception staff quick, efficient and always helpful. We booked a superior room which was looking out the rear of the building. The room itself was compact, clean and comfortable with a shower (no bath). Coffee and tea facilities were also available. There are a few dedicated parking spaces to the side and rear of the building and additionally, there is an arrangement with enclosed parking a few hundred metres/yards away. It is best to unload baggage first if using this facility.as pavements are very uneven around the side streets. Other metered parking is available along the seafront, but can be difficult to find spaces nearby. We used the restaurant for a evening family reunion dinner and the quality of the meals served was very good, as was the service provided by the staff. Service and quality of food for breakfast is just as good. We have stayed here on a few occasions and would do so again.

"Newly renovated rooms are nice"
Our room was excellent - but our friends had an older room which was not yet renovated and was somewhat disappointing. Breakfast was good. Grounds are fascinating and beautiful - especially for young children. We enjoyed meeting llamas, alpacas, emus and ducks in the grounds behind the hotel. We would stay there again.

"Landmark Hotel in Eastbourne"
Have used the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne for 50 years. Its a landmark, but it needs constant care and attention. Staff are very helpful, but the facilities are in decline. Examples: in the main dining room the ceiling looks like its about to fall down in one location. Cleanliness is not good in the corridors and rooms. Someone needs to clean the base boards. Facilities and furniture in the room are tired and not what you would expect in a high end hotel. That being said, the Grand is the Grand, and those of us that know it like to stay there. It wouldn't meet the required standards anywhere else in the world. To be honest its really expensive for what it is, but is likely costs a huge amount to maintain.

"Quaint hotel"
I arrived 2 hours early and asked if I could leave my case while I waited until my room was ready. Instead I was offered the choice of a room on the first floor immediately or one on the third floor later. The room was small but lovely. The only downside was the noise from the club revellers at 3 in the morning. The hotel did supply ear plugs which helped muffle the noise. In all fairness to the hotel there was nothing they could do and if anyone was to blame it would be the fish and chip shop on the corner as they stayed open until the early hours for the trade. If you don't want the noise then don't stay on the sea front that's all I can say.

"Mid Sussex hotel with golf course and leisure club"
We have been coming to this hotel for a while now, my husband is a golfer and likes the course and we both like the surrounding countryside. There were a few niggles mainly with some of the waiting staff. For example, we ordered scones and tea one afternoon, the waitress brought the items but omitted to come back with cutlery which we then had to go and track down ourselves. At breakfast time the self service hot section ran out of fried eggs a couple of times, while customers waited around for them to be replenished a little bit of forsight and training on these type of frustrations wouldn't go amiss. On a plus side quite nice free coffee was available at the hotel health club which has a well equipped gym and a very nice indoor pool. The rooms are of a very good size with nice bathrooms. Another small bar of soap during our 3 day stay would have been appreciated.

Hailsham is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Hailsham, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Hailsham hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
