Stayed in a beach view room which had beautiful views of the beach and sunset even though the sunset was not over the water. Plan to stay here more often. Hope the building they plan to build right next door does not destroy the views.

great view, but upcoming construction may inhibit view in future. Very clean. Bed had a slump in the middle and on side. Mattress rigid, too firm and sheets not soft. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH LACK OF JETS IN HOT TUB. Traveled 8 hours. Needed the jets.

I had to move to another room because of tiny ants in my room. They comped me a breakfast which was exceptional. The staff was all very nice and helpful. I did have trouble finding the hotel especially at dark. Nice beach area. Great to see the sunrise but not the sunset. Nice pool but the hot tub was not working.

The beach is beautiful. Hotel breakfast is 14.50 PP. the omelets were top notch. But unless you all you can eat it you could get better breakfast. Everything was as expected.

This was our second time staying at the Tides this month!!!! We love everything about this establishment and its amazing views and atmosphere. Easy access to the beach, very clean, pool and bar area excellent place to hang out and watch the ocean. We will continue to stay here!

Room was clean, view was nice, but this was our 3rd time at this Hotel. They have changed a lot and now just nickle and dime you to death. Nothing is free. $11 per day parking and if you want their breakfast it is $15 per person. Beach is much further out than it used to be which only matters because I am not in the best shape to be walking all that. The hotel takes up all the room in front of the hotel with their chairs and umbrellas set up so you have to struggle to find a shore front spot. They charge for the chair and umbrellas too... It is a nice place just disappointed in the money hungry approach. Will rent a condo next time and not deal with all the extra people at the same price.

This was my first time staying here, and I was pleasantly surprised. Although breakfast wasn't included the price was reasonable, especially for what you got. The poolside bar and coffee shop were excellent as well. All the staff we ran into were very helpful and friendly. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars was the beds, to firm for me or my wife to really get comfortable. Overall a pleasant stay though, its worth checking out if you want to visit orange beach.
