"We weren't there long enough to judge much, but . "
We arrived very late one night and left early the next morning. The host couple was very welcoming, made us hot drinks (it was raining when we arrived), and breakfast was adequate to fuel us through the morning. The hot cocoa must have been completely home-made because it was super delicious! The room had a slightly musty smell, but nothing that seemed dirty or otherwise unpleasant. We saw the lush surroundings the next morning, and they were beautiful (not unusual for Costa Rica). I would not choose to stay there for the "ambience" or for a long period of time, but it was fine for our needs.

"Hot springs "
The hotel staff was great, the room was clean, the TV didn't work, they only have cold water for the showers, it was a little pricey for what you get. I had been to the hot springs before the hurricane hit and there were a lot more pools. The two that they did have were hot and enjoyable although were in need of being repainted and cleaned. There was a great kids area but since we were a group of adults we staying in the other area. Dinner was good and as the restaurant closed and we were in a meeting they moved us to a nice area and brought us iced water to drink. I would go back again but would know that the showers are going to be cold instead of it being a shock. I am glad they are able to be open not long after the devastating hurricane hit the area.

"Secluded Gem in Miraveilles"
This hotel is a secluded gem that is easy to drive to. Nestled right up against Miraveilles Volcano, it is very close to a lot of fun volcano tours, mud baths, and zip lines. The family that runs the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. The food is traditional, delicious Costa Rican food and has enough variety that you could easily eat here for a week without repeating meals. The breakfast that comes with your stay is delicious. The cabins are gorgeous and the pictures don't do them justice. They are clean, quiet, and comfortable. Very nice inside with comfy beds. They let us help to milk the cows for breakfast and then we ate fresh yogurt made from our efforts. This is a lovely place that doesn't feel too Americanized but is clean, gorgeous, has delicious food. They have really pretty, clean hot pools fed by geothermal heat from the volcano. We spent much time there relaxing after our adventurous days. We absolutely loved it!

"14,000 Acres of beauty and adventure!!"
We loved this place!!! So much better than the place we stayed at on the ocean. We loved self guided (or guided if you choose) hiking, the horseback riding, 12 zip lines (one was almost 1000 feet!!!), the amazing meals, the pool, the natural hot water baths, FREE mud treatments and AMAZING WILD LIFE!! My wife just said "I would go back in a heart beat!". The staff were kind, friendly and so interested in you enjoying your stay. A must!! While there go to the local 400 meter water slide. AMAZING PLACE!!!

"Beautiful, Romantic Hideaway!"
We stayed here for only one night, but we wish we could have spent more time here! The resort is not kidding with the name "hideaway". It is in the middle of the rainforest and is absolutely gorgeous! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with awesome hospitality. We arrived at night so we didn't realize the beauty of the resort until the next morning, but we've never been surrounded by so many lush trees, plants, and flowers. You are in the middle of the rainforest, so be aware that you will run into bugs, insects, and other wildlife. Just the one day we were there, we saw frogs and a variety of birds. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly, and made us feel welcomed and like we were family. They definitely go out of their way for you! We shared a room with our close friends for the night and the room was absolutely beautiful. It would make for a very romantic getaway with a loved one! When we go back to Costa Rica, we will definitely be planning to spend more time here!

Guayabo is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Guayabo, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Guayabo hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
