Very Good

The internet is awful. As well as the pool—the pool is literally falling apart. It looks like a huge tub that was left on its own. The lounge chairs are the most uncomfortable , and there’s only four of them for the whole hotel .
The room is very outdated, very outdated. The shower is in the bathroom. It definitely needs a makeover, but if your expectations are low and you plan to spend most of your day hiking, it’s a perfect crash point.
The brave first is very decent fresh fruit and yogurt, coffee and orange juice. Perfect to start your day.
The AC in the room works well ,
After we had the stuff coming to fix it.
All good but no frills... excellent tenderloin with malbec in the restaurant. Great value for the price. Beware of birds over the parking as your car will be covered in no time! I was not warned about this by staff.
This hotel was a great - good value, it is close to the park, the restaurant was excellent, the property was beautiful, and the service was excellent. Moses at the front desk was very helpful, and the restaurant manager was extremely friendly and helpful figuring out how to obtain a replacement camera memory card.

Staff were very courteous and informed. Lovely setting and very convenient to the national park.
Everything was fantastic! The staff is so nice and helpful. The place is gorgeous, the room is spotless and spacious. I totally recommend this place and the zipline there is amazing!
The hotel grounds are stunning with an array of colorful flowers, beautiful birds, and short paths that easily connect you to the buildings. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ate at the restaurant several times and each meal was delicious. All of this, plus convenient access to Parque Rincon de la Vieja!
We booked this hotel for a short drive from Liberia, on our first day. The road is decent, but not a quick, simple drive. The property is near the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, although you must drive a little to get to the park. Hotel staff were knowledgeable about the park’s features and what was open on different days. We loved how remote and peaceful this hotel feels. Definitely use Waze to find your way to, from, and around the park. Sadly, we wasted valuable time getting lost, missing what we wanted to see.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Property was in good shape and had a nice walking trail on property. We would rated this property much higher, but we stayed in room 506. This was the noisiest hotel room we have EVER stayed in. It is typically very windy in this part of Costa Rica and this unit was the upstairs unit with a tin roof. We thought the whole building was going to come down when the wind blew. I'm a sound sleeper but even I had a very fitful night's sleep while here. Yes, the road up to the lodge is attrocious but we sort of expected that based on previous reviews. Just expect to add a lot of extra time to estimates of time to get there. The restaurant was fine and service was good. Just fix the roof!
Beautiful property with so much to do on the grounds. We were traveling with two infants and were able to do a few different lakes right from the resort. The pool was nice and the staff were wonderful. My only criticism is there is only one restaurant with the same menu every day and although it is a large selection on the menu, there really isn’t anywhere else to eat close by if you don’t have a car as this is a secluded location. If the restaurant did different theme nights or offered a different menu each night, it might make it a little bit more exciting to eat in the same place for multiple nights in a row.
Lovely lodge with pretty rooms, the hammock was especially nice.
The local guides were very knowledgeable and passionate about the area and ecology in general.
