The rooms are very outdated. The carpet is freying, our toilet seat was broke, the mattress pad had crusted pizza sauce on one bed, and the other one was stained. The tub did not drain properly. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash was almost gone and the bar soap left looked like it had been used. The lobby was nice but the room was extremely out dated and in poor condition.

We stayed here as we were in town for concerts at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. The hotel was right off the highway and a quick ten minute ride to downtown. The hotel is next to a large castle like building. It’s cool to see right outside your window. The hotel was clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was average continental. I grabbed a banana which is all I needed. I’d stay again if visiting Grand Rapids. This hotel was way cheaper than the downtown hotels.

Not best customer service

Check in representative was on his personal phone did not acknowledge me for the first 2 minutes and then lifted a finger for “one minute” the desk phone was ringing too which he was ignoring. Then 3 more guests arrived standing behind me and he finally put his phone down to check me in.

The Layout of the room was very spacious and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed having a sitting space to relax beside the bed. The morning breakfast was excellent and fresh and hot. All in all it was a very lovely stay.
