What an absolute joy to stay right at the south rim at Yavapai! It is the best experience we have ever had with a national park and just cannot say enough about the conditions of room, staff, dining room (elk meatloaf to die for!) and just a great team here! Well done and absolutely recommend for anyone who wants an amazing experience!

Dated rooms, we stayed in the west buildings. Our building and room felt like a combination of an average hotel and a college dorm. The lodge area with the tavern and outside area was very nice. Staying inside the park was awesome.

The Yavapai Lodge was a beautiful setting. It is historic property. The hotel room was clean and had a little refrigerator. It was in the Grand Canyon national park with easy access to shuttles that take you everywhere on the rim of the Grand Canyon. The parking was right outside the hotel room and easy to get in and out. Since it is a historic property, it is not super modern, but the quaintness and the surroundings are amazing. It is a part of the dark sky program, which meaning that it’s a perfect place to stargaze. I pointed out to several people the Milky Way.

Loved that the hotel was in the park. Great location and right nxt to the grocery store. The room was dated but clean. All the staff were wonderful….helpful and friendly. Only issue I had was the ice maker was right outside my room so I was woken up late at night and early in the morning.

The rooms are older so I didn't expect them to be perfect, but a couple changes could help. A sink cabinet in the bathroom would help since it is so small and had no storage. Also replacing the spotted carpet with vinyl plank flooring would be much better.
