You’re paying for the location
The location is excellent and makes it so easy to get wherever you want in Grand Canyon NP. The room is extremely dated, the bathroom is small, and the beds are okay.
The staff was all very accommodating and nice. Everyone was kind and helped with all requests. When traveling with multiple people, it was great to have the help with various needs, including a service dog.

We enjoyed our stay at Yavapai, from the location to the lovely forest all around, it made our trip extra special. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, in room fridge was convenient and everyone we met was super friendly and helpful. We loved walking to breakfast each morning thru the trees, and the food options there offer something for everyone. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest (hair in tub, on floor etc) and the shower didn’t drain well, but we had hot water, a cozy bed and we would definitely stay here again.
Older lodge feel but in the middle of beautiful nature. Positives: updated bedding, great location. Negatives: older bathrooms, unforgettable food. All lodging in and around the park is similar. Remember you are there for the breathing Canyon.
We really enjoyed our room inside the Grand Canyon. It was conveniently located to the General Store and easy to get to the various park locations.
The room was cozy and clean.
