We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel on Blythswood Square in the Center of Glasgow. The service and friendliest of the entire staff, from the doorman, to the reception, to the concierge, to the waitstaff were exceptional.
The hotel is beautifully done, and was formerly the location of the Scottish Automobile Association. The lobby, main dining and Salon were lovely and the food and service excellent. My favorite spot was the bar called the Salon up the stairs from the lobby. Nice place to have either a whisky or tea, which is served in the afternoon. Cheers to Connor and Stephen who were delightful.
Our deluxe room was spacious, clean and well appointed with a large marble bathroom. Beds and linens were top notch, and any requests were attended to quickly.
We had dinner downstairs and the food was delicious, and the staff very friendly in spite our showing right before closing. We had the sweetest waitress, a student from Slovenia.
There is a nice Spa at this hotel and should not be missed, particularly after a long flight.
We highly recommend, in fact we would go to Glasgow just to stay there again!

The hotel room is clean, the location is great, near shopping malls, the beds are not comfortable are too much small for adults, there is only soap in the bathroom no shampoo. The kitchen is clean and everything are inside it.

Although hotel was lovely and friendly staff, I was very disappointed as bins were not emptied in the 4 nights I stayed at the hotel. Also bedsheets were never changed.I would have expected fresh towels and bins emptied every day.Fair enough receptionist did advise to ask for towels when needed. The fact the room was not cleaned even once during my four day stay was disappointing.I did ask for fresh towels when needed but the girl at reception who brought them to my room[128 first floor] did not take away used towels so by the time I was leaving there was a lot of towels on bathroom floor so between that and bags of everyday rubbish I`m afraid it was very untidy.Did not feel comfortable with having to ask staff as I felt it should be hotel policy to at least to empty the bin every day

Had a 1 night stay on Friday and was so impressed. The staff are so nice very polite and professional.
The rooms are lovely, very spacious and spotless. Nice big comfy bed and temperature control which was a good idea as it was very warm.
Had a bite to eat in the bar on Friday which was lovely. If you bought a drink you could get a burger for £1 and a extra £1 to add fries. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, buffet style and everything was piping hot. We paid £5 to use the pool, sauna etc which again was spotless and really relaxed. Check out was 11am however we paid £15 to check out at 1pm which was worth it after relaxing in the pool area.
Would recommend this highly for couples, families or groups

Long an important industrial centre and port, modern Glasgow is one of Britain’s most vibrant cultural cities. The centre features outstanding Victorian architecture and houses over 20 galleries and museums, several boasting world-class collections, and many graced by the works of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Performing arts venues stage the best acts outside London, with shops (Merchant Square, Buchanan Street, Barras Market) and restaurants to match.
