Found 3 cockroaches in the room upon arrival. Was moved to another room, but saw two more cockroaches the next day. The room had a damp smell, and there was a strong cooking odor in the lobby.

A charming, nostalgic luxury hotel ideally located in the heart of Georgetown, Penang, just a short walk from the old town, where you can enjoy sightseeing, shopping, exploring historic buildings, and savoring delicious local cuisine. The location is excellent, with a 24-hour self-service laundromat just a 3-minute walk away. The hotel is clean, quiet, and well-equipped with all the essential amenities. Its lobby features an engaging display that shares the rich history of both the hotel and Georgetown. Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed in a family room with two queen beds, which felt very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was the hot and humid late June weather, walking outside in the afternoon for even 10 minutes was nearly unbearable. We enjoyed staying at the hotel and will definitely rebook it next time.

Loud noises kept us up every night

We stayed for 3 nights and did not have one decent nights sleep. The nightclub nearby played loud doof doof music till the wee hours, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the doors of the other rooms slammed shut as people were coming and going. We left our To Be Cleaned light on every morning at 9am and room wouldn’t be serviced until 430pm. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. Breakfast was average. The hotel is in a great location, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
