Great hotel if you do not want to be staying in the middle of the Georgetown traffic. Next door to the higher end Queensbay Mall and within walking distance to local eateries and convenience shops, you just need to set up your Grab account for a ride to town or the airport. Staff service was excellent, attended to all of my small requests.

My partner and I stayed at The Eastin as we were running the Pantai Marathon and the start line was 300 metres from the hotel. Our stay was comfortable but nothing special. The hotel is a bit tired compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in Penang and the 4 star rating is pushing it. The rooms are small and the upgraded “sea view” rooms were not worth the money. The view was primarily other buildings and roads. There were no towels at the swimming pool, we had to go up the gym to find the last two. The gym looks great although we didn’t use on this occasion. In short, a fairly good business hotel or somewhere to stay for one night close to the airport.
