The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. What was lacking was the hotel itself. Beds so uncomfortable couldn't sleep. Horrible smell was in the room when we first got in. No parking as advertised. Have to leave you car in a public car park. This can get very expensive. Hotel is close to everything but in a filthy area of the city.

This is a great place to stay for one night cruise ship boarding, but the area is a little sketchy.

My family & I are currently on a European trip visiting several countries and staying in numerous hotels. Whenever we’re referring to this place we call it “Nightmare Hotel”. Although we were only there for 1 Night, it sure felt like eternity. It’s completely run down, out dated, poor lighting, the bathroom is probably half the size of a cruise ships’ even the elevator only holds one person at a time. Everything about this hotel is a disaster EXCEPT for the very kind gentleman at check-in. The only Night we stayed there, we noticed an infestation of rats in a tree directly in front of the hotel door. We stayed here to board an MSC cruise the next morning (The terminal was walking distance) but I’ll never stay there again.

No denying the neighbourhood is in a tough port area, but I've never felt unsafe. The hotel is clean, and welcoming. i booked a 4 bed room for one person - it was all they had - and all the staff found that most amusing :)

Very good hotel. Just a few steps to Principe station and Flixbus stop. Perfect location for the transfer passangers to spend a night. Big, clean and spacious room. Very nice, polte and helpful lady on reception. It was very quite at night in my room. I will stop here again in the future. Thank you!

We stay at this hotel for one night after disembarking a cruise ship as it’s location right next to the cruise terminal was perfect. The hotel location is just across the road from the cruise terminal and a metro station and the main train station are only a short walk away. The hotel itself was fine for just one night. The rooms are basic and the beds aren’t great. They squeak and you can feel the springs. The room had a tv which doesn’t have any English channels. There is also a fridge in the room which wasn’t plugged in. Therefore the room would be basis at best. We didn’t have breakfast, we only popped down for a coffee which we were charged €1 for each. The cold buffet breakfast was laid out and seemed to consist mainly of sweet cakes, bread and meat. We wouldn’t chose to stay here again but the location is perfect for the cruise terminal.

Nice hotel with excellent location

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is very close to the tourist attractions. Good variety of restaurants and cafes nearby. The bedroom was good and so was the bathroom facility. Overall i will go back to this hotel if I visit Genova again..my experience and stay was lovely.

Hotel Galles Family Stay

The hotel itself was decent. However, during our stay the AC didn't work, the refrigerators were all broken and the wi-fi connection was extremely poor. The staff was great and friendly. Also, the condition of the hotel was nice. The geographic area was iffy.

Handy & well priced

The hotel is right opposite the cruise terminal and 5mins walk from the main train station & airport bus. There's a metro station next to hotel too. The hotel is not modern but its comfortable enough given the price paid. Toiletries and towels are provided but there's a lack of power sockets in the room so i had to charge my phone using the shaver socket in the bathroom which wasnt ideal. The staff are very friendly and helpful with a good level of english spoken. They were great at recommending local restaurants to eat in that i would never have found otherwise. Overall good value for the money.

Poor room I'm afraid. How is it 3 stars!!!

Not what we expected. Very poor. Customer service was OK but the room was appalling. No air con and no shower door. No other rooms available and we had to make do after a long day travelling from Monaco. Good location but poor room conditions and not even up to Travelodge standards.

The price was very reasonable, and the staff friendly. The room was nice and clean. The Hop on and Off tour bus stop is close by.
