We have stayed at The Guest Lodge several times and it is reliably clean, comfortable, and staffed with outstanding personnel. They make you feel welcome and when you check out, they always ask “how was your stay?” There is something “homey” about The Guest Lodge that our family enjoys and we always look forward to our stay there on our trips to and from FL.

Not sure where at the great reviews are coming from. The staff were very friendly. Our room did not look like the pictures, it was very old, dated and smelled. The walls were very thin and we were up all night with a laughing woman and the door opening and closing. The is a fire station close by and the sound of their engines blared day and night. If you want a cheap place you stay and no sleep and a smelly old room this is the place to stay.

We had stayed here 3 times before, this time we brought serval families with us. For the most part the rooms were tidy but definitely NOT clean as they should be. 107 was dirty, 207 was also not clean enough. 209 was the most clean and properly appointed.

The Guest Lodge is a little gem of a place to stay. The staff are welcoming and attentive, always asking, “did you enjoy your stay?” Rooms are very nice and pets are genuinely welcome. We will continue to stay here on our trips through this area.

We ended up here on a last minute need to go to Gainesville. This was the highest rated hotel with availability. The staff was really nice though the initial room that they gave us had not been cleaned. They tried to tell us that they had "inspections" and sometimes the inspector turns the bed down. I then asked if the inspectors eat in the rooms as well since there was food trash, paper plates and plastic forks on the countertops as well. They then moved us to another room that was adequate. Would stay again if I had, pickings are slim in Gainesville but the staff was nice.
