Ok so this was my first time at Lani Kai. This is the cutest little resort. From the time we checked in until we checked out the customer service was amazing. They actually care about their guests. We even met the manager/owner his family owns the Lani Kai. He was awesome. He suggested we go to Doc Fords restaurant to learn about Lani Kai and also a man named Chris who does a tour down fort Myers beach and will teach you the history. The receptionist Jena is my new favorite person, always making sure we had enough water and suggesting coconut water for better hydration (this was our first time in Florida) and getting us anything we needed. She gave us so many suggestions as to what to do around Lani Kai as well as dining options. Everytime we saw her she had a smile on her face. I love that she went above and beyond and made us feel like special guests. We did find out that around 4pm each day Fort Myers beach usually has thunder storms. It sounds amazing. The studio room was absolutely beautiful. We were on the balcony every night enjoying the thunderstorms and sunsets. The sun deck restaurant is currently under construction from hurricane Ian in 2022. Graces cafe on level 1 has amazing food the loaded nachos were a big enough appetizer for the 4 of us. The steak on the salad was perfect it almost melted in your mouth. There are food options and little souvenir shops on the ground floor before you head to the beautiful white Sandy beach. Definitely can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at Lani for a "staycation" as we live here in Fl. They had remodeled it after the Hurricanes that hit Fort Myers Beach & all their hard work prevailed! The location is directly on water & views are awesome. The restaurant Gracies serves breakfast and it was great, both beachside bars are very nice and have full bar as well as the famous RumRunners & other frozen drinks. The room we had was so well appointed, everything so beautiful & beach vibe. Ours had a microwave, small frig & Keurig, a balcony where I watched the beautiful sunset! The patio doors are almost soundproof & Hurricane resistant - there was music on beach level but I heard none of it, the hotel halls were also very quiet. My husband & I are in our late 60's and we had fun with bartenders & people who rent chairs on beach for a reasonable for the whole day. We loved our choice of place to stay & will go back!

I have stayed at lani kai twice before. I am always happy with my stay. Unfortunately the lani kai was hit very hard during the hurricane that hit fort meyers a few years back. They have done a great job trying to get everything rebuilt. Fort Meyers itself appears to be still working to rebuild. It appears that since the hurricane now properties stores etc have been bought up and are being rebuilt into beach homes. That makes me very sad to see. I will continue to stay at lani kai when i visit my niece. They are a family owned resort and I commend them for their strength after the hurricane. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I love that it is beachfront. The staff is out there every morning making the beach perfect. Only complaint is the cost to rent beach chairs and an umbrella daily.

I was disappointed the Sun Room was closed, but given the circumstances it was understandable. Breakfast was overpriced for the quality. I got a giant burrito but it was cold inside. Avoid. Bar and food service on the beach bumped up my review by a star. Well done!
