Tuggle's Gap Roadside Inn - Blue Ridge Parkway
This place took our money and we're not even open. Then refused to give us a refund when we arrived and found the place completely abandoned! No staff, no renters, no access to main area for food, no breakfast as advertised! Be very wary and don't stay there!!

The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center
Room was clean with a nice size television. There were two sinks in the room which was great. The restaurant is under renovation so we couldn’t eat breakfast, but the hotel did provide a complimentary grab and go breakfast which was greatly appreciated.

All essentials in a looking new crisp clean state. Spacious room. My highlight was the good hot shower with nice water pressure. Let me also add great location, withlots of food choices close by and close to V tech, which was the purpose of our visit.

Stayed only one night due to properties' closeness to the hospital. Room served its purpose, was comfortable and clean. The only downside was the room fronted a busy (noisy) highway which impacted our sleep. But, we lived through it. Check-in was easy and quick; served by a pleasant young lady ...

The hotel and the rooms were in great shape - very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delish and offered a variety each morning. The front desk staff was not profession - underdressed and on their phones, sometimes annoyed at being disrupted to answer a question.

Breakfast was OK. PArking was safer than I thought - there are areas around the hotel that are rather dark but I did not see any nefarious activity. Stairwells are dark.

Star gazing & wine tasting was amazing! Staff extremely helpful. Excellent food. Check into the activities available for each day of your stay BEFORE you get there. Book early since the number of people for each activity can be limited. Some activities only available certain days.
