We really enjoyed our stay at The Sonetto in Florence. The room had such a charming, romantic vintage feel that made our time in the city even more special. The decor and ambiance added a unique touch that set it apart from a standard hotel stay. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating throughout our visit, which made us feel very welcome. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, like complimentary coffee and the option of flat or sparkling cold water on tap. It was such a lovely extra that made things even more convenient. The bed was very comfortable, and the room itself was spotless and well cared for. The only drawback was a small issue with black mold, noticeable in the curtains near the air conditioning and a bit in the shower. It didn’t overshadow our overall experience, but it is something that could be addressed for future guests. Overall, this was a wonderful stay full of character, comfort, and great hospitality. With a little attention to the mold issue, it would easily be a perfect experience.

It was nice. Only problem I would say is the noise from other rooms in the morning if you are on the first floor. I would recommend choosing the 2nd floor.

Love Florence!

Right on the river in Florence. Super helpful staff! Yummy breakfast and cool amenities. The room was lovely, clean, comfy and the door opened to the terrace which allowed for a lovely breeze! Highly recommend!

Should you stay here? I wouldn’t. The staff is very kind, but I ultimately had to relocate because I couldn’t continue my stay —even after switching rooms. For $20–$50 more per night, you can find a better hotel. I stayed in rooms 201 and 102, and neither looked as pictured. Both had noticeable excessive wear and tear (chipped surfaces, scuff marks) and felt unclean (dusty surfaces, mold in the shower, and a lingering odor). Pros: • Lovely staff – Helpful and assisted with luggage. • Good location – Overlooks the river and is close to Santa Croce attractions. Cons: • Rooms do not match photos • Noticeable wear and tear • Cleanliness could be improved I appreciated the staff’s efforts, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Perfect little hotel near city attractions

Excellent service, my room was cleaned everyday, great location on the Arno, and lovely breakfast every morning. I will definitely stay there again and seek another Sonder hotel in the next city I visit.

We were very disappointed in the room, a 'ground floor' was actually a basement room, the only window looking up through the hotel maintenance type area- it was noisy, not private and did not feel secure. The room smelt moldy, with poor ventilation. Erica, one of the concierges was wonderful and the hotel's location was good.

Sonetto by Sonder

Hotel is actually in a great area and everything you want to see in Florence is an easy walk to get to. Hotel customer service was amazing and everyone was very helpful. Our room was smaller, but that’s all we needed. If you fancy a larger shower, be sure to book the larger room. Overall, very happy with our experience there.

We had an amazing stay at The Sonetto. The staff were absolutely incredible, super friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. The bed is super comfy, the room is a decent size and the property has a nice and quiet pateo where you can chill.
