Stated check in time is 1:30. Got there at 2:00 and no one answered buzzer or bell. No one answered phone or email. After 30 minutes I was forced to book another hotel. I want a refund!!!

4 nights at SDC for a solo traveller

Less than 5mins walk from Firenze S.M.N station and in close proximity to the other well-known monuments in Florence. There is a carrefour express just across the street and many restaurants in the area as well. The place can be easy to miss as there is no big signage but just look out for the number ‘51’. The room was very spacious, it even comes with a living room. Toilet can be a little cramped if you slightly bigger sized but it was ok for me. All in all a very pleasant and value for money place to stay. Daily housekeeping is also provided. Only downside is that the windows are not soundproof so if you are a light sleeper, come prepared. The first night I did not manage to sleep well but the subsequent nights, it got better

Minutes from the train and the heart of the city

I booked a stay at the Stella Della Casa for my family's first trip to Florence based on the proximity to the central train station. After de-boarding the train our family of four rolled our suitcases over to the hotel without too much trouble (it is very close). Upon arrival we were welcomed by Elvis (who was great) and he helped us up the narrow stairs to our room. The room was modestly appointed, but the beds were clean and there was a simple on-suite bathroom. To call the location a hotel is a stretch - it really is an apartment converted to a few private suite rooms, which gives it more of the feel of an AirBnB. Unlike an AirBnB, the standard checkout time was noon, not 10am, AND the staff (Elvis) was able and willing to watch out bags for us past checkout time, which meant we were free to explore the city, returning only to collect our luggage just before departing to the train. Another great point of this hotel is the amazing location just a short walk from many of the historical landmarks of the city, including the Duomo, which may be the most incredible building I've ever seen.

Within a couple of minutes walking to train station. Big room. The small bathroom could use some shelves and towel hooks. Still under renovations. Noise woke us up at 5 am.

Very comfortable

Hard to find, as it just has a tiny doorplate and no other signage. We thought we had made a dreadful mistake as the entrance hall was being redecorated and we had to pick our way over piles of tools and floortiles. But once we got to our rooms we were delighted - spacious, clean and comfortable. Only downside is that the street is noisy

Great value and location

Very spacious room and in a great location. We were pleasantly surprised that the room got cleaned as it felt more like an apartment rental rather than a hotel where we wouldn't have expected a cleaning service. Our room was beside the staff room/.small guest kitchen and was a little noisy at times, bur generally the place was peaceful and we feel other rooms wouldn't not have had this issue. It was great value and staff were helpful and informative. We didn't have the breakfast but it seemed good value if you did want it, and it was served to your room.

Excellent service!

The place is in an excellent location, within 3 minutes to the train station. The staircases were a little difficult with heavy luggages but the room more than made up for it. Elvis, the person-in-charge was exceptional in his service, helping us with our luggage and was really prompt in assisting us.

If you are going to Florence! This is the place to stay! 2 minute walk from train station! Very clean and loads of room! If I were to return to Florence this is where I would stay A+A++A+A+A+A+A+A+
