The room was clean and comfortable, however very basic. No frills. We did enjoy the extra space. The floor above was squeaky so when other guests were awake, it was difficult to sleep.
I would recommend the Oakhurst Inn's convenience to the University of VA. With accommodations so tight in Charlottesville, the Oakhurst provides a better stay for the price than many of the other hotels.

Be careful when you book this place. Only place I have been where I canceled less than 24 hours after booking and they refused to return my money or give me back the room. They stole my hard earned money.

We stayed in Room 5, the master bedroom. The room was large with a very large and comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The room was largely original from when it was built and really took us back in time. An excellent brunch was included with many meal options.
