What a beautiful historic hotel! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and my room faced the city which was lovely. I do wish the elevators were wider but that can't be helped.

Yes they charge a security deposit and will not refund it but they will give u phone number and from there well the chase is on and in the end you will be out 150$ just like I was !!!!

There were roaches in the room. They put me in on the first floor in the room closest to the entrance of the hotel that was terrible all the TV channels were in Filipino or Cambodian language.

This property uses "contactless" hosting, which means there's no staff on site. In my case, the A/C unit in my room was inoperable and so I requested maintenance through the text message connection to somebody, somewhere. I received text message cheery responses and assurances for 2.5 days, but nothing ever happened. No repair happened. No one seemed to show up. I did overhear other guests complaining about a similar situation. So, if you're not too fussy, if you're just looking for a flop on Imperial Beach, this is a not a bad deal. It's like renting a sleep pod at an airport. Hope everything goes smoothly!
