We have stayed here before and came back again with our basketball team. Our entire team loved the amenities, the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. The pool was perfect for team bonding. Many requests to stay again for our next tournament. Maria and Kanav and the rest of the staff went above and beyond. There were some drunk loiterers around the front entrance, however, there was security always onsite and card entrance to ensure no strangers walking in uninvited. As a single female traveling with kids, I felt safe at all times.

Disappointed with room size, and classification of kitchenette. The difference between regular room and kitchenette is an extra sink. As well the king sized bed is smaller than a standard king but larger than a queen. Room was clean, mattress was comfortable. Room was clean and towels were soft. The building was secure and clean.

The show would not drain, so I went to use the room phone to call the front desk…the phone didn’t work. I walk to the front desk, requested that they fix both while I was out the next day. I returned and went for a workout at their in-house gym. First Ed on the treadmill tried to get a drink from the water cooler, it was broke…I finished my workout and walked up to the front desk (just had a feeling) and asked if they fixed my shower? The individual at the front desk, picked up the phone and called maintenance. She turned away from me so I couldn’t hear the conversation. She hung up turned turned around to address me with “yes, they are in your room right now”. I’ll stop here, because truly it just gets worse. I stayed at this hotel in the past and it was a nice experience, but over the course of the 6 months since my last stay they have a change in ownership. The change of ownership reflects Very Badly on the Sandman brand. Please think twice before booking the Edmonton West Sandman Hotel…

The room was fine. It was clean and "utilitarian". However, it could use a bit of a face lift. Also, there are no elevators in the main building, so there are stairs to contend with if accesing the second floor rooms, or the bridge to the "tower.

The staff did not clearly indicate how to get to the Executive tower rooms so I wandered around for awhile. Entrances are not clearly marked as "Main entrance" or "Side entrance" so it's hard to know where you are when you walk in. The room had an air conditioner/heater that was on constantly and it was noisy. It was difficult to sleep with the amount of sound that was constantly present in the room. Overall, the room was clean, but it looked old and run down.
