A solid property and nice retreat from the Finge festivities. Like most hotels in Edinburgh in August, it is outrageously priced, and not worth the expense, but the hotel and service are very comfortable

They charged me more than what I had given on my Expedia booking. Be careful with this hotel and check your bank statements. The front desk staff were not friendly and when talked to, it seemed that they were doing us a favour by talking to us. The girl who took my credit card for the payment was more occupied with her phone than trying to get us checked in. The parking situation is terrible! The safe in the room didn’t work, had to call them 3 times and each time one would show up and leave saying they would send someone else. It’s not a good hotel to stay in. Super expensive too for the terrible service.

Bed size was queen. Remember It is not an american queen. Just a double bed. There were no toiletries( cotton wool, shower cap) slippers or rope, which is expected from a four star hotel . Apart from that good breakfast. Quiet road.

Wonderful stay

Amazing stay with my daughter and husband. Excellent location as we were able to walk from the train station. The Royal Mile was so close. We shared a room and used a sofa bed. It was a bit cramped but we expected that. Bar was great. We stayed 2 nights.

Quiet location a walking distance of 20 plus minutes to the attractions. Good local restaurants in the vicinity. Hotel staff are extremely friendly. Prompt and helpful.

From start to finish this hotel went the extra mile nothing was to much trouble the staff on reception went above and beyond when we had an issue and sorted our problem it was fantastic
