Did not ask for a handicap room, but was given. We requested a normal room and never got any satisfaction. Significant construction outside the hotel and inside significant portions of the Hotel. Some of the normal services were shut down because of the construction . Limited dining, no common meeting space in lobby, etc..

This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were very helpful with all my questions, and made my stay wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Edinburgh. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip there.

Housekeep need an attitude adjustment

We arrived four hours before check-in after traveling internationally for 17 hours and asked if our room could be cleaned early. we were advised that they would try. The room was still not ready when we checked back an hour before check-in. it was ready precisely at check in. Having worked in the hotel industry, we know that more could have been done to get us in the room early. The dining room staff did its best to make us comfortable but housekeeping did not seem interested in helping us.
