Clean place. Not close to the heart of Edinburgh but an easy drive in. Close local restaurants and nice to be out of the huddle and bustle in the evening time. Very close to the airport. Weird WiFi situation where you have to have the TV on to access the WiFi, but they said they would be updating that soon.

The Dakota Edinburgh is a fine and classy establishment. We enjoyed a delicious meal at the grill, and enjoyed swift service from the staff. We were able to drop off our luggage in the morning before check-in, and when we checked in later, they had kindly placed our bags in our room. The room had every amenity we needed and was comfortable and stylish. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Dakota Edinburgh the night before our flight. This hotel is full of surprises, all of them very good. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and well cared for. The lobby is beautiful and relaxing, including a very sweet dog statue. The bar is excellent, great cocktails and snacks. The restaurant was superb, excellent food and very professional and knowledgeable staff. We would absolutely stay there again!

Lovely hotel in a quiet suburb of Edinburgh. Right behind a Tesco for any shopping needs. Enjoyed our night’s stay. We were very disappointed with the lack of airport shuttle service provided to us. We phoned to book an airport shuttle for 7:00 p.m. only to be told they had stopped running that day at 6:00 p.m. This was after several attempts during the day to get someone to answer the reception desk so that we could book earlier. The cost to the hotel by taxi was £30. We then went to book another shuttle service for the next day for 8:30 a.m. and there was one we could get for 7:00 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. Therefore we had to get another taxi to the airport, again £30. Extremely expensive. We verbally told the reception staff our displeasure in their advertised airport shuttle service. We had our evening meal at the Dakota Bar and Grill, delicious meal, atmosphere and enjoyed the waitstaff.
