We were lucky enough to get a corner room which had a balcony on 2 sides and a wonderful view of the sea. The complex of hotels was very nice and it was great to be able to use the facilities across the complex which included spa, gym, different pools and a rocky type of beach area. There were several restaurants but all seemed to be serving very similar food - we would have been more likely to stay for dinner in the hotel if there was more variety. As it was there was a lovely walk along a sea view promenade into Lapad with bars and expensive restaurants with more reasonable offerings when you got into Lapad itself, although to be fair the whole area is very expensive. the breakfast was of a good standard and plentiful but it would have been nice to have a variety at the buffet as well. But overall I would recomend the Royal Palm.

This is part of a large multi-hotel complex with restaurants and beaches and pools. The rooms are lovely and the sea views cannot be beaten! Great breakfast buffet. A bottle of wine on ice greeted us, along with four luscious macarons. The whole experience was welcoming and relaxing. Our only disappointment was that we felt quite removed from the actual city. There's no shopping or dining or quaintness within walking distance -- just the hotel-plex itself. Ubers are easy and affordable if you want to get off the property and into Dubrovnik itself.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and stunning views, promenard walk. As a resident of one hotel, you can use the facilities of all 5 hotels on site. The hotels are quite isolated on a hill so cant walk out for lunch or dinner or to get things from a shop such as water, crisp, without getting transport. Lapad town is down a very steep hill. Limited menue and the same at all restraunts unless you want to pay €78 for a seafood dish. No choices for snacks anywhere such as sandwhich. The ones on menue come with chips and cost same as main meal €20. These hotels are amazing, exclusive, beautiful. They need a lower cost cafe for lunches snacks and a supermarket, shop more local.

The property was lovely, very clean and beautiful views. The balcony was a great size as was the room. We paid for an upgraded sea view and it did not disappoint. The breakfast being included was appreciated as there really was no where within distance to go to as an alternative option. The dinner options weren’t all that spectacular and rather expensive for what it was. There was also only one small shopping complex nearby which offered the basics. I do feel this hotel and the neighbouring ones would benefit from some sort of shop to provide water, snacks etc as the nearest supermarket is an Uber or taxi away which isn’t great.

The hotel was very clean and the staff are very friendly. The front desk was very accommodating to just little request and met every one with a smile. Breakfast was AMAZING!! view was AMAZING!! Amazing hotel with excellent customer service. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was outstanding, fantastic views from the balcony, a really comfortable bed and spacious room. The breakfast had a great selection. The old town was easy to access through the convenience of the local bus stop outside of the hotel. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Honeymoon stay

The hotel was immaculate, and all the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The services on offer were superb, and I would recommend using the spa if you have a chance. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from some very good restaurants along a scenic coastal path, and you can walk to Dubrovnik's old town in an hour and a half (however, it is quite hilly). There is a bus link nearby, or you can use Bolt or the taxi service to get you back and forth.

Somewhat disappointing

Everything about this hotel ended up quite a bit off the expectation from a 5* hotel and the price tag. We had a luxury suit with two bedrooms, which on its own, despite a touch tacky and sparkly design was comfortable enough. Without sea view and being at the bottom level felt like we upgraded ourselves to a basement. A conversation with a passive aggressive receptionist was quite awkward as she insisted the only way to upgrade was to pay 3 x the price I could see in the booking app. Breakfasts are of very low quality. Everything is there… but from sweaty cheese to the mass reminiscing scramble eggs is not something you’d like to eat. Coffee from the two machines was the only awful coffee I had in Croatia. Here’s a but though - the staff really try to keep it up. One of the staff looked at the scramble eggs tray and right away offered us fresh portions. They were very good. I also asked the bar lady if I could beg for some good coffee and she produced spectacular cappuccinos, which lifted the mood. Evening buffet was good… not memorable by any means, but edible with decent selection. Staff, again, were very good. The indoors pool was a strange experience. It’s the only pool allowing children under 16. It’s small at about 5-6 m radius but quite deep at 1.4m. It’s mobbed and the water is like an old soup. Our boys walked away with sore tummy’s and one ear infection. The gym was ok with a wide enough choice of machines and dumbbells to do a holiday workout.

A wonderful hotel

A wonderful hotel in a breathtaking location. We chose a sea view and wow, what a view - breathtaking. All staff were friendly and helpful, we chose underground parking for 10 euro/night, but there was on street parking available. Our suite was lovely, spacious snd spotless with two bathrooms and a kitchenette. We had a living room and a huge bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The gym is well appointed and the indoor swimming pool is lovely - we were there in Winter. Breakfast provided huge variety and was tasty.We had a great stay.

We booked two rooms as travelling with our daughter and both were upgraded to gorgeous suites with stunning sea views. The complex is absolutely lovely, the staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast choice fab - a wide range of fruits, cereals, pastries, cold and cooked foods, pancakes, yoghurts, etc. The pools aren’t very big, but more than adequate for our needs and we never had any issue getting a sunlounger, but it was September. We had a hire car for the duration but took Ubers to and from Dubrovnik as they were so cheap at around 7-8 euros each way and we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for one.
