Having stayed in this lovely hotel previously, I decided to treat my daughter to a couple of days in this idyllic setting. We had a wonderful time & did a couple of wonderful walks. The staff at this hotel cannot do enough for you. We will definitely be returning.

The rooms were clean but they only put one towel in a twin room each time so we continually kept having to ask for another one. Positive is they now serve food in the bar area in the evening which is far better than in the dining room.

We stayed for two nights and were impressed by the staff's attention to detail. We had an evening meal which was perfectly cooked, delicious and good value. The breakfasts were generous, plenty of fresh fruit and a help-yourself cooked breakfast with freshly cooked eggs to order. The manager, Stephen, was very helpful in providing information. The hotel is well situated for walking in the Surrey Hills.

Generally a good experience

Overall it was good, unfortunately the thermostat didn't work in the room, nor did the soap dispensers function in the bathroom I did report both issues but neither were rectified during our stay

Unexpected large hotel with nice lobby and communal areas. Large gardens and outside spaces for warm weather visits. Convenient location near Dorking for drivers and convenient for hill walkers. Quiet during my stay which I enjoyed. Car parking unusual but satisfactory. Perhaps it was the quietness in the hotel but service could be slow.

Wouldn’t stay again. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately a rather disappointing stay. Best part was the five minutes we spent checking in. After that it just sort of went downhill. I tried to stay positive but the morning experience and all the accumulative little bits made this review more unpleasant than it should’ve been. I wanted to surprise my husband with a little get away and we were upgraded to a superior room before arriving. I must say it was what I would’ve expected a normal room to look like and nothing superior. The pool, although heater, is seasonal only (I might have missed info about that) which was disappointing. Decided to have a bath instead but the bottom was stained and it was covered in hair. Hairdryer doesn’t work in a superior room and neither did my bedside lamp. The fan in the bathroom sounds like a plane taking off. Got woken up at 7 from music from the breakfast room blaring up to room. Excited about breakfast we went down. Nobody really greeted us even tho sign said wait to be seated.Then we didn’t get seated.The menu was confusing even tho I had paid for breakfast it wasn’t made clear what the deal was and nobody explained nicely.Tea water was cold.All juices warm. No labels telling you what the juices were. My husband breakfast was missing bacon and the eggs were too uncooked.When I asked for bacon and new eggs the lady was very unpleasant.Took another 20 mins and she wasn’t apologetic at all.When checking out he didn’t ask how our stay was and barely said anything.unprofessional
