"Had a great Stay and Play vacation at Jaco Laguna!"
Had a great Stay and Play vacation at Jaco Laguna! My husband and I really enjoyed the facilities and staff. The resort is located south of the town center which makes it nice and quiet - yet walking distance down the beach from the town center if you desire. While at the resort we went deep sea fishing and took a panga boat to Nicoya Peninsula all arranged by the hotel staff. Everything went smoothly and as planned. There are two nice restaurants on site as well. The Tiki Bar down by the beach gives you a nice local feel. I would recommend it to all our family and friends. We hope to return.

We stayed here for two nights. We saw some Scarlet Macaws, and the Yellow Headed Caracara here. We walked the monkey trail around 7:30 one morning, but other than some lovely views, didn't see any wildlife. Overall the experience at the hotel was good. The rooms were basic and comfortable. No views from the garden rooms. The main pool closes at 8 pm, which seemed really early. Adult pools were open later, but doesn't help when you are travelling with children.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Gabrielle at Karolas restaurant was awesome as was Aiden at the beach. Front desk staff answered all our questions and went above and beyond (laundry service, kids activity room, ride to the beach). Rooms were spacious and well appointed, breakfast was excellent, pool staff and view was amazing, especially at sunset. Great 2 for 1 happy hour at pool. Beach was a bit rocky, but nicest one outside of Manuel Antonio. Only a $10 cab ride to Manuel Antonio. Trails to beach were well cared for and fun way to get some hiking in. Monkeys, sloths, porcupines, and toucan you could see from pool area. We had a great stay - thank you Los altos!

Although seen better days the hotel is a great experience, a unique quiet setting, beautiful grounds with a fantastic pool, wonderful and cosy dining area. Well presented breakfast buffet, a dinner menu on the French side with the selection great and taste.
The staff through out the hotel could not have been nicer, very friendly and experienced
We were there 5 days and would recommend staying at the hotel to our friends.

Kurà and its people are remarkable. It is difficult to be brief; we had a very rich experience.
Room/Architecture: The ocean view is indeed the paramount feature of all six rooms, and the wildlife—mostly beautiful birds—is right there outside your balcony. Beautiful design and architecture as well.
Food: Delicious. As a vegetarian, I wanted more days to try all the options, and my carnivore husband was equally well served.
Staff: Exceptionally skilled, wonderful people. All efforts to provide privacy were invested, when we wanted privacy, and all efforts to provide cultural context and information were also invested, when we wanted those.
Sustainable practices: Comfort and luxury are not at odds with sustainable practices at Kurà. Solar energy, on-site greenhouse and local fare all power and provide for the place. The owners and staff clearly take pride in their efforts, yet there’s no “preachy” atmosphere (as I have experienced in other places).
Because of the beauty of the natural and human-made environments and the warmth of the people, few places beckon you back like Kurà. Go as soon as you can and be prepared to miss it afterwards.
