The hotel is beautiful and the staff was so kind. The restaurant on site has great food and drinks. The location is perfect, walking distance to shops, restaurants and historical attractions.

Excellent location, most things were within walking distance. The premises are well kept, and clean. Rooms have the old San Juan feel but with modern touch, such as the remodeled bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend!

What I didn’t like: When I first entered the room, there was a ceiling panel on the floor and water dripping from a hole, apparently caused by a leak from the air conditioner. The A/C wasn’t cooling properly, and the room would get very hot once the sun came up. Because of the heat, I kept waking up early and couldn’t sleep comfortably. Also, the towels were stained and had a slight unpleasant smell, which was disappointing. What I liked: The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is phenomenal—very central and close to the most popular attractions in Old San Juan. My room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel and room offer a great mix of historic charm with a modern touch. The hotel is beautiful, and the pool area has a nice view. It’s one of the few places in the area with a pool.

This is a beautiful location with a lot to do. The pool is great, the bar is great, the view is great, the staff is great. It’s just a good place, plus El Batey is across the street.

It was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The historical aspect was well preserved. The coffee in the mornings and wine and cheese were such a pleasant and convenient amenity. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

More interested in being an event venue.

All that this hotel has going for it is its location. This hotel seems to cater to events, like weddings, graduations. Everything is built around facilitating loud music and such for those events. Not very good if you need sleep any time before 1am. The air conditioning had two settings: refrigerator and off. Our party took several rooms. Almost all had mechanical issues of some kind. Disappointed.

Gorgeous hotel. Loved the wine and cheese reception and the plunge pool. Our room was nice and clean. The only downside was that the elevator was broken. Thankfully the staff helped us with our luggage. The hotel did apologize for the broken elevator and were visibily working to get it fixed. I only stayed for one night, and would like to stay longer during a future trip. Really, can't recommend this place enough.

An absolutely perfect location in Old San Juan. Within walking distance of all of the historic city center. Cool old historic hotel. We loved it.
