When we enter the first room, the bell boy noticed the water on the floor, probably from AC leaked, he immediately told us to to back to the front desk and gave us an upgrade room without any additional fees.

The hotel is spotless and the people working can't be nicer. Great rooms, wonderful beds and pillows, good breakfast buffet Brazilian style. We had a superior room, which faces the side road and gives partial beach views if you try to reach it. The room is spacious and comfortable with L'Occitane products in bathroom, Nespresso coffee machine (not complimentary) and complimentary 1,5 L mineral water every day. Just across the street from Copacabana Beach and very close (walking distance) to Ipanema. The swimming pool in the terrace has very nice views of the Bay. It's a great hotel that feels like a 5 star...or better!

Second time we stayed at this hotel and it was wonderful. We would highly recommend this hotel in Sao Paulo. We had a little issue with our room AC but didn't report it until we left so we can't really say this was a con. We witnessed amazing hospitality and reactivity by who seemed to be management when two customers were discussing an issue in their rooms. The management intervened immediately and asked for their room number. Great reactivity!
PROS: location, beautiful hotel, great bar, clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff
CONS: breakfast buffet could have been better -- good spread, lacking food quality/taste, paid Wi-Fi (these days?!)

"Nice hotel, 500 meters away from the local airport"
Pro: Very close to the airport, excellent cost/benefit. Very clean.
Con: Parking is charged separately, and it costs 20% of the night rate. Infrastructure is generally good but there were holes in the entrance roof. Although is very close to the airport you will not want to walk around at night.
Breakfast is ok.

My husband and I stayed at Tivoli, along with two of our friends. We were given adjoining rooms which was great. We used the hotel transportation to and from the airport and had no issues. We were offered drinks upon arrival, and the front desk staff was faster and more responsive than many other hotels in Brazil I've stayed. The groundskeepers do a fantastic job as the greenery, flowers and trees were beautiful. We only used the adult pool, so I can't rate the others, but it was well kept and overlooks the water for a beautiful, relaxing view. We also got to see multiple HUGE iguanas up close since they hang out next to that pool. The restaurant next to the adult pool had amazing food as well. We each had something different (lamb, steak, sea bass, seafood linguine) and all the dishes were excellent. The other restaurant, Goa, is where breakfast and dinner is served buffet style. It has a good variety and we enjoyed trying some Brazilian dishes. My only complaint (which is not the staff's fault) is that cats, birds and monkeys all invade the dining area. They're cute, but I don't exactly enjoy them on my table when I'm eating, which they do because other guests continue to feed them, even though there is a sign posted asking people to NOT feed the wildlife. Make sure to bring bug spray as we got eaten up by mosquitoes and what we think were sand fleas on the beach. Overall, our stay was wonderful and relaxing. We would definitely go again.
