I found a pair of dirty socks behind the bed upon arrival and notified the staff, but they were never removed during my entire stay. Each day, housekeeping would make the bed and neatly fold my used towels, but the trash was not emptied. Basic cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking, which impacted the overall comfort of my stay.

I like the environment around it, cleanliness was also okay but the aircondition in the room was not at all working in this extreme hot weather which was not acceptable. Though they provided me with a fan but this should not be a solution of central air condition system.

Check in was fast. Parking was by valet only, so your vehicle was not ready available if you needed it. The room was small, but clean with a. Comfortable bed. The batch was small and oddly shaped, with the toilet being skewed to the side ro allow the door to close. Also, you couldn’t sit up straight as the counter prevented the seat from raising all the way up, making you have to lean forward a bit to use the restroom, and the flusher was mounted on the wall above the counter. A really large/big person would have found it very uncomfortable to use and odd for sure, but functional. But for the one night it was sufficient.

Never stay at this Holiday Inn Express at Denver Downtown. AC were not working in the rooms and the hotel staff was well aware of it. Also the bathrooms do not have any ventilation, so its a real problem if multiple members are in the family and want to use one after the other. Staff was very unhelpful and acknowledged all issues saying they cannot do anything about it. Real shame.

Overall, our stay was great except for the fact that our room did not have any air conditioning while it was 36C in Denver. The staff was kind enough to offer us solutions to this problem. Kudos to them! It’s close to 16th Street Mall and some other tourist attractions. All of the receptionists were also very helpful and approachable! The surroundings outside the hotel felt safe and clean.

BHS convention

We were in Denver for convention, so location was great. It was just a few blocks from pedestrian mall with many food choices. Felt safe walking at night after shows, there was police presence and many people always around. Breakfast was good, had great little cinnamon rolls. The bathroom was small, definitely a 1 person bathroom. The flush mechanism was a “pus h” rod in the wall. Had to have maintenance give us tutorial. Also close to Union Station and train.

When I arrived around 9pm on the check in day, the reception staff told me that the AC had been down for months and asked me if I’m okay with it and will give me 20% off. However, I still charged full amount and didn’t get that 20% back. I tried to contact the hotel several times, but no response at all. If you really need AC, do not book this hotel.
