Our overall experience was a 10/10!! The staff was incredible. They were welcoming, helpful, and extremely hospitable. The food was delicious. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner here. The open air dining was romantic and quiet. Perfect for my wife and I. The gym is one of the best ones that I have had the pleasure of working out in. Most hotels have a cardio section and dumbells. Samata has that, PLUS a squat rack, a smith machine, leg press machine, cable machines, and... a boxing/kickboxing area!!! Awesome! We chose to have a spa day that included a 60 minute massage and a coffee body scrub. This was MY first experience doing anything like this, and I have to tell you that they set the bar super high! It such a relaxing experience and the coffee scrub left our skin feeling so smooth. My wife and I are already planning to come back to Bali with our kids and when we do, we will definitely be booking our stay here again.

Our room was phenomenal — incredibly spacious with a huge, comfortable bed. The private pool was also a great size and was definitely the highlight of our stay. The villa is situated quite central to all walkable areas. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, helping with our bags and providing local recommendations that turned out to be absolutely perfect. Breakfast was also very enjoyable and personally served to our room each morning, which added a lovely touch. The bathroom setup was very unique and beautifully aligned with the Bali island aesthetic. It was a large semi-outdoor space, which looked stunning and created a very tropical atmosphere. However, it didn’t work as well for us personally from a practical perspective, especially at night. Because the space was outdoors, there were quite a few mosquitoes, ants, and occasionally bats, which made using the bathroom in the evenings a little uncomfortable. On our final morning, we also found a large lizard in the toilet bowl. Of course, we completely understand that Bali is a tropical island and encounters with wildlife are to be expected. That said, we personally would have found the stay more comfortable if the bathroom and toilet area had been more enclosed indoors.

Great location. Friendly staff. Pool was awesome. Breakfast was included however was limited/simple, we didn’t bother eating here. Two treadmills (one didn’t work) and an exercise bike in the gym area which didn’t have air-conditioning - wouldn’t really call this gym. Overall a nice relaxing resort on a budget.

Genuinely, the most friendliest people and very professional and an overall wonderful experience!
