Traveling from the USA first time stay in Amsterdam. Staff was exceptional! Breakfast was truly amazing!! Parking was a little tricky with gate and did not know I had to pay per day. On website said self parking. AC/Heat unit did not work however gave us a fan, if it would have been warmer outside ...

The staff were nice and friendly; however, other aspects were poor—such as the cleanliness of the hotel, the bed, and the bathroom. It’s not recommended to stay there!!!!! And I don’t know how thy can use name of Mövenpick???

Nearest tram stop is Uilenstede. Walk through the university campus about 15 minutes. Safe and quiet environment. You can take 5/25 and transfer to Tram 24 at Gerrit van der veenstr. Travel time is about 45 - 55 mins from hotel to Amsterdam centraal, further than zaan dam to Amsterdam centraal.

The room was clean but the bed was very noisy and blanket was very thin for a very cold room. Also, there was no soap in the shower. Again, the common area of the property was very nice for a hostel. But I found the restaurant to be a bit expensive for the hostel.
